1) You should demonstrate your understanding of geography by offering information; both in written and visual form, about yourself. First, you should have a poster, mobile or anything from the project suggestion sheet handed out in class. What ever project idea you choose, just be sure you can fit all five parts of Geography. Any type of picture can be used, (for example a flower with five petals, or a train with five cars) as long as the picture or item is neat and displays geography information about you. We will discuss all the parts of geography in class but if you need a review try this geography link which is a good site to review the five themes of Geography.

2) Next to each picture, include a write up explaining the geographic area. For example, if you used a train, one car may have a Hungarian flag on it and then next to it (or on it) a write up explaining your families history and how your parents immigrated to the U.S. from Hungary.

3) The product, for example a poster should not be larger than 2ft. by 2ft. The project should have information which demonstrates an understanding of the five parts of geography and the overall color and neatness of the object should demonstrate strong effort.
|
4) After you complete your project, you need to review the rest of your class' work. You need to find one person who has a similar part of geography for each of the five parts. For example, you need to find someone who you think has a similar "location," next, find someone who has a similar "place" etc. until you have five people, one for each of the five parts of geography.
