Our journey continues...
Ohhh, there's the bread shop coming up!  YUMMY!!!
Again, sorry for the overcast skies.  The snow was a bit of a surprise!

On the day I finally remembered to bring my camera with me, it had snowed all morning.
So if you're wondering what that white stuff is...
Just after leaving campus, we're on a 2-lane road.  But, if you want to drive like a true local,  the lines for "lanes" are really just a suggestion.
And here we are! on the freeway (well, not exactly free) on the way towards Istanbul, about 5 miles from the Koc campus.
Otherwise known as Koc Cafeteria West
"OGS" stands for: "Oh Great!  Speedup!"

This is a fairly new restaurant that was opened not too far away.  Good food and nicely decorated.  It's called Zeytin (olive).

This is the first toll booth you get to.  Just pull up and take a ticket from one of the people who will push the button for you, hand you your ticket and then try to sell you a pack of gum or kleenex.  Unless, that is, you have OGS in your car, then you drive through and listen for the beep.
Istanbul is to the west and Ankara to the southeast

Just past Zeytin is the entrance to the TEM (Trans European Motorway) that runs right by the school.
