Cocker spaniels are a breed that require frequent grooming, something I didn't understand when I first got Sami. Over the years, however, I have acquired the necessary tools needed to keep my girls' coats in good condition. There are many great products available, but I have started out with the basics. The following items are what I have chosen to use and that work for me. Each person has their own preference though. | ||||||||||||
| Items needed for brushing cockers: - Pin Brush - Slicker Brush - Undercoat Rake - Comb - Dematting Comb - Detangling Spray |

| Miscellaneous items: - Nail Clippers - Styptic powder (in case you clip too close to the quick) - Bath wipes (for in between bath cleaning) - Freshening spray - Toothbrush & Toothpaste |

| Clipping: - Clippers (I purchased the Andis Pro-Clippers) - #10 & 7F blades - Blade lubricant - Cooling Spray - Blade Wash |
|||||||||||||
| Bath items: - Shampoo - Conditioner - Spray nozzel (I found a great spray nozzel and hose I can attach to a sink in the laundry room at Walgreen's for $3.50) |
