Nicholas is going to be 5 years old this year and is in his 2nd year of preschool. He absolutely LOVES going to school and getting on the bus. He wakes up and gets dressed in time to get on his bus at 7:20am ... he goes to school M,T,TH and F from 8-2pm. Wednesdays he goes to gymnastics class at the Little Gym. He is in a very small class, which is good because he has a very short attention span still, but he is getting better at listening and following along. He loves playing with cars and trains and leggos. He is also ALL BOY and loves rough-housing, running, jumping and playing outside on the swings and in the sandbox, not to mention climbing on EVERYTHING.
We just got a kitten for Christmas and Nicholas is insistant that he is "HIS" kitten. He will try and dictate who and how you can touch the kitten. He loves on it, carries it around, feeds it, etc. It should be interesting to see as the kitten grows since, as a male, neutered Ragdoll he can get upto like 18 lbs! He puts up with a lot and is a very calm and sweet kitten, I have yet to see if he will let us play "dress-up" with him LOL.
Hopefully, once Nick is 5yrs old, we can sign him up for a sport. He is full of vim & vigor and I think the structure and group activity would be helpful for him, if they don't kick him off the team for not listening. He has speach therapy through school as his verbal skills are still behind and he sometimes has trouble verbalizing his thoughts. He loves for me to read with him and Catalina now though and is doing pretty well with learning the alphabet and numbers, when he isn't being SILLY!
