Jasmine is repeating the 3rd grade and once again has her aide Tricia to help her during the day.  She seems to be enjoying school, but is testing her new HI teacher to see what she can get away with!  We have been suplimenting her diet with carnation instant breakfast and now scandi-shake (a 600 calorie/8oz mix made for chemo patients to gain weight).  It is hoped that this regiment along with high-calorie meals will allow her to gain weight (she is upto 42 lbs).  Other than her picky-eatting habbits at the moment, she is doing very well.  She is continuing to communicate at home via signs and at school with signs and a communication board.  She is progressing the most with her gross motor skills and taking steps without prompting, attempting stairs, and walking fair distances with moderate assistance.

The men's Baptist association that we got into contact with through our church were absolutely fantastic and built a wheelchair ramp onto mom's house in 2006 so that we can get grandma in and out as well as for Jasmine.

Jasmine has grown in the last year, so we need to get her wheelchair tweaked this winter.  She is also walking more and PT thinks she should have some AFO shoe inserts to help steady her ankles while walking.  So we will be off to Children's Hospital within the next few months to get that taken care of as well.

Jasmine continues to be a ray of sunshine and generally happy little girl!
