1/6/07 -
Well, when last I posted I had just given birth to Catalina and was looking into exercise to get back into shape.  Well, I joined American Family Fitness and managed to loose 3 dress sizes over the last 2 years (I am thinner now than I was when I got married!).  So I NOW just need to tone up and get some stamina.  I'm planning on starting to walk with Catalina and the dogs around the neighborhood and get rid of the gym membership in order to save some $, esp. since I haven't had the time to actually use it much lately.

I have gotten a few crested geckos (originally Meagan's request) and we are now awaiting the hatch of our first eggs!  We'll only have one breeding group, but they are a very neat lizard, and fairly easy keepers.

We also will be getting a new puppy who arrives tomorrow.  She is going to be my show/breed prospect siberian husky girl!  Pola is a fabulous pet and I will be working with her in obedience and harness/carting activities, but I also wanted her to have a companion and something I could competitively show and/or breed in 2-3 years, once she is proven to be of good health, temperment and type.

I started working at the Home Depot that opened up 5 min's from the house about a year ago and am enjoying getting out for a few hours a week.  It gives us a little extra money for those things we WANT but don't HAVE to have.  It was also allowing me to have a housekeeper come in every other week ... unfortunately, she seems to have decided not to continue, so I either have to start cleaning or hire someone new.
If you haven't figured this out yet,
please head this advise: Life is short - enjoy it!

Dust if you must but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture or write a letter,
Bake a cake or plant a seed.
Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
Music to hear and books to reed,
Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must but the world's out there,
With the sun in your eyes , the wind in your hair
A flutter of  snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must but bear in mind.
Old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go and go you must,
You, yourself, will make more Dust.

Remember, a house becomes a home when you can write
"I love you" on the furniture....
