From 1937 to 1957, with some time out for WWII, the Mille Miglia (literally "thousand miles") was the world's premier road race.  It was run on open roads that connected to a series of towns in Italy, starting in Brecia and ending there 1000 miles later.  It was a pure speed event, and those unchecked speeds eventually bought about its demise.

Modeled loosely after this legendary race, and usually run on the same weekend, the Morgan Owners of Philadelphia sponsor the
Moggie Miglia.  It is a day-long driving challenge starting from the roads of Bucks County, Pa. ending in the Poconos, and tests a variety of skills for the car and its occupants.  It is the only Morgans only pure driving event of its type.  It is more than a concours, more than a rally, more than a gymkhana, and more than a race.

Starting with a breakfast concours, and ending with a wonderful Inn dinner, the various Morgan teams experience a range of driving challenges as they travel through the day's run.  Some events, like the breakfast pre-run concours, reflect the intrinsic beauty of the Morgan, while others require the driver and navigator to use their car with skill and consistency to do well.
The winning car is the one that does best throughout the day, not necessarily the best in any single event.
