Santa Cookies

Materials Required:

To make the cookies:

o      1 cup sugar

o      50g butter

o      2 cups flour

o      1 tsp baking powder

o      ½ tsp baking powder & salt

o      2 Tbsp milk

o      1 tsp grated lemon peel

o      1 egg

o      Ice block sticks

To decorate:

o      White icing

o      Red Icing

o      Miniature marshmellows

o      Silver cachous

o      Long thread coconut

Instructions:

1. In the whizz: sugar, butter then milk, egg & lemon peel
2. Add flour, baking powder, soda & salt
3. Shape into 5cm balls and position ice block stick
4. Flatten slightly and place on greased oven tray
5. Bake at approx 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes until slightly brown
6. Decorate as per photo

Optional gift idea – place in cellophane bag and tie with ribbon
