Materials Required:

o               Mini Round Wine Biscuits

o               Chocolate Icing

o               Chocolate dots & buttons

o               Currants

o               Mini M&Ms or other decorations

Instructions:

  1. Spread chocolate icing on round wine biscuit
  2. For Bears  - Place on small chocolate dots as ears, cut up a larger chocolate button into nose & mouth.  Use currants for eyes.
  3. Other Decorated Biscuits – decorate as you like with sweets etc.

Note: For a children’s party activity you could spread the biscuits with icing and allow children to decorate their own biscuits.  Can be nice to also let the children decorate a biscuit to take home for a sibling.

Other Party Ideas…..

Simple Rainbow Cake

Decorate ½ a round ring cake with jelly beans to look like a rainbow.  Stand up on a plate and add long thread coconut mixed with green food colouring around the base to look like grass.  Noah’s ark animals can be placed around the cake to create a theme suitable for boy’s or girl’s cake.  Another idea is to decorate with Fairies for a girl’s fairy party.

This cake is handy if you are catering for both a family & a friends party & need two smaller cakes.  The round ring tin fits a standard cake mix and then can be cut in two to form two rainbows.

Jelly Slice

Use a packet of Jelly crystals and mix in 2 tablespoons of Gelatine before adding the boiling water.  Add boiling water & set in a slice container in the fridge.

Another variation is to prepare two different colours of jelly and pour the 2nd colour on top on the first after it has set.  Makes attractive two tone jelly slice.

Cut into small slices when set.
