Beaded Angel

Materials Required:

 

o      5 x safety pins

o      5 x 1 2 mm long bugle beads

o      66 x seed beads

o      1 x 6 mm round bead

o      4 x 5 mm round beads

o      1 x 9 mm silver bead

o      1 x 30 cm length of 28 gauge wire

o      1 x 10 cm length of 28 gauge wire

o      1 x 17 cm length of silver cord

 

Instructions:

  1. Open safety pins and thread on three seed beads, one long bead and two more seed beads
  2. Close safety pins
  3. Take shorter length of wire and attach to one of the safety pins by wrapping it around the opening end and twisting it back on itself
  4. Thread alternating round beads and safety pins (through opening end) onto wire.
  5. Loop end of wire around safety pin and twist wire onto itself to fasten
  6. Thread 17 seed beads onto middle of long length of wire
  7. Thread both ends of wire through large silver bead
  8. Thread alternate ends of wire through opposite ends of large round bead.
  9. Pull ends of wire so the bead sits below the silver bead
  10. Thread 12 seed beads onto wire
  11. Create a loop with the seed beads and thread wire back through large round bead.
  12. Thread 12 seed beads onto other end of wire
  13. Create a loop with the seed beads and thread wire back through large round bead.
  14. Thread one side of wire through non opening end of safety pins
  15. Thread other end of wire through opposite end of safety pins and pull ends of wire tight to bring safety pins up under the large round bead.
  16. Twist ends of wire together to the back of angel. Fold upwards.
  17. Loop ends of wire underneath silver ball then twist ends together. Press twisted ends downwards.
  18. Push loop of seed beads down to form halo.
  19. Using pliers cut off ends of wire.
  20. Tie silver cord around wire under silver bead then knot the end to form a loop.
