Angel Christmas Cards

Materials Required:

o               Card and envelope (esp metallic colours)

o               Angel template – see below

o               Metallic thread, about 10m per person

o               Scissors

o               Sellotape

o               Sturdy Pin

o               Needle

o               Pencil

o               140 x 95 mm page for inside front with Bible verse

o               Merry Christmas Stamp and inkpad or silver/gold pen

Instructions:

1. Attach template to outside front of card , using LIGHTLY applied sellotape ( you will need to remove it afterwards)
2. Transfer marked holes using a pin.
3. Remove template
4. Transfer template numbers and letters to inside front using pencil.
5. Thread your needle, use double strand. Attach ends of thread to card on the inside front near hole 1 using sellotape. Stick well (avoid sticking tape over holes)
6. Thread needle through 1 and follow the numbers! (back through 2, out again through 3 etc) until the edges of the wing are completed- it should look like this:

7. Then complete wing rays: A-1 then A-2 through to A-8.
8. Do the same on the other side: 9-16 then B9, B10, B11 etc through to B16.
9. Do skirt rays C-17, C-18, C-19 etc.
10. I Stitch ruffle V’s between skirt rays
11. Stitch D-24 twice then complete halo.
12. Stick verse page over inside front (to cover stitching and sellotape)
13. Apply Merry Christmas stamp (or write Christmas message with silver/gold pen) on inside right.
