Energy
Forms Of Energy
Chemical Energy:  Energy stored in the chemical bonds between atoms.
Thermal Energy:  The total energy of the particles in a material.  Something hot has more thermal energy than something cold.
Electrical Energy:  Result of electrons in motion.  Electrical energy is a secondary form of energy.  It must be produced from another form.
Mechanical Energy:  Kinetic and potential energy.  A moving object; a spinning wheel or moving part of machinery has kinetic energy.  An object with the potential to move or spin has potential energy.
Nuclear Energy:  Nuclear fission, fusion, and radioactive decay are nuclear energy.
Radiant Energy:  Visible light energy, x-rays, radio waves, microwaves, and gamma rays are all radiant energy.
Energy Conversions
Lightbulb:  Electical energy to radiant energy.
Nuclear Powerplant:  Nuclear energy to electrical energy.
