On the night of Saturday March 18th, 2006, I was lucky enough to be in Carry Pond Township, Maine, probably the darkest place on earth (because they don't have electricity up there). Around 8:00pm the northern sky started glowing and an aurora soon erupted, unfortunately, my camera batteries died after about a half dozen exposures, so I didn't record very much.
