Annual Picnic

The annual picnic at the Edgerly home was a great success. Dinner consisted of grilled chicken breast, hamburgers, Polish sausage, and hot-dogs. The door prizes consisted of a camping chair won by Terry Robison, desk clock won by Rick Dedolph, travel cup won by Jimmy Wicker, and a mosquito lamp won by Vi Aleshire. We also had a 50/50 and one other drawing.
There were several games of horseshoes played and the children had fun playing volleyball. A late afternoon rain shower found everyone running for cover, everyone except a few of the children that is. A few found that water soon sought the lowest point on the grass which made for a great "slip 'n slide". The children had a great time and so did the adults watching and laughing at them. I do believe that a few adults were more envious of the kids than they let on.

Upcoming Dinners

Dinners every 3rd Saturday. Saturday, August 21st is the date for the next dinner. It will be the governor's "Nearly World Famous" rib dinner.
Saturday, September 18th will be "New England Boiled Dinner"

Saturday, October 16th Dinner will be BBQ Chicken

Saturday, November 20th Dinner will be Deep Fried Turkey

Saturday, December 18th Dinner will be Fresh Ham(like the dinner we had in May)

Meeting Dates and Times

Lodge meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday at 7pm

Pool Tournament's

We will be holding pool tournament's every 3rd Tuesday. Our next tournament will be held August 17th. Come on out and have a little fun.

Legion Initiation

There will be a Legion initiation held on September 19th .Greenville Lodge, 1939 located at 5649 Greenville Rd. Take M57 west to Greenville then north on M91 to the lodge. Members that will be initiated are: Richter Dedolph, Shane Copher, Paul Black, and Ron Granger.

Football Raffle

Starting in late August or early September we will be having a Football Raffle. Details will be in the next newsletter.

I will start including the date that your dues expire above your mailing address.
