Moose Community Service
Six Point Program
The Moose Fraternity is more than just a local pub or bar. We are part of an international fraternity with lodges in every state, throughout Canada and in England. Each lodge is expected to become an active part of the community in which we are located. We are expected to donate money and time for the betterment of our fraternity and community. Moose has a six-point program that each lodge is to support:
Adopt-A-Highway
Our final pick-up date for Adopt-A-Highway is September 14th. We need as many volunteers as possible to cover this 4 mile stretch(2mi each direction). Meet at the Lodge shortly before 8a.m. This is just a small part of our Community Service commitment.
Euchre Tournament's
Tournaments are held every 2nd and 4th Thursday. Starting time is 7pm, plan to arrive a few minutes early for registration.

T.I.P.S. Training
We are making a list and checking it twice. We need a few more volunteers for T.I.P.S training. We would like to get at least 6 people total which should allow us to host the training here at the Lodge. The Lodge will pay for this training in return for your tending bar at least once every 3 weeks. "All the programs have Information, Skills Training and Practice/Rehearsal sections. Every server is trained to understand how to detect signs of intoxication, prevent the misuse of alcohol and intervene when someone has had too much to drink. Being certified as a server in TIPS can protect people in liquor liability lawsuits. Using the skills learned in the program can help people prevent the problems associated with alcohol misuse, and save lives." Call or stop by the Lodge and let the bartender know that you would like to be added to the list for bartender training. We will notify all participants of the date and time(usually a Saturday).
Lodge E-Mail Address
The Lodge has their own e-mail address. [email protected] is the address. In the near future we will be e-mailing the newsletters from the Lodge. I would again like to ask everyone that has email and who would like to get the newsletter before anyone else to please send an email with Moose Newsletter in the subject line. It will be in MS Word format.
NASCAR
NASCAR parties are still being held every Sunday at the Lodge. Check it out.

Future Dinners
We will start holding 2 dinners every month starting in September. Our first dinner will be an "End of Summer" bash with our famous "Build-A-Burger". It will be held on the 3rd of September from 5p.m. until 7p.m. Enjoy a burger as only you know how to make it, we'll cook it, you load it up. Our second dinner will be a chicken dinner fixed by none other than "Chicken Dave" and will be THE dedication of our Lodge and hopefully a welcome dinner to our newly formed W.O.T.M. Chapter. This dinner will be held on the 17th from 5p.m. until 7p.m.
October's dinner will feature "New England Boiled Dinner", just like mom used to make, we even know and use her secret ingredient. November's dinner will be "Fresh Ham". December's dinner will be "Deep Fried Turkey" & "Smoked Turkey". The first dinner each month(held on the 1st Saturday each month) will be sponsored by W.O.T.M. and the second(held on the 3rd Saturday each month) will be sponsored by L.O.O.M.
