FELLOWSHIP DEGREE AWARDED FOR SERVICE TO FRATERNITY

The Fellowship Degree of Honor, the third degree of the Loyal Order of Moose, is conferred by the Supreme Lodge on Moose Members in Recognition of their outstanding service to their Lodge and fraternity.

At the present time, nearly 30,000 members of the Moose hold the Fellowship Degree. To qualify for this high honor, a man must be a member in good standing in his Lodge for a minimum of five years and must also have been a member of the Moose Legion, the second degree of the Order, for at least one year.

But, longevity is only one factor. To be considered for advancement to the Fellowship Degree, a member must have demonstrated his loyalty to, and support of, his Lodge, Moose Legion and fraternity. In doing this, he must have given generously of his time and energy to build his Lodge and fraternity, and have exhibited leadership ability.

Members of the Fellowship Degree can be easily recognized by the regalia of the degree they are privileged to wear at official functions of the Fellowship Degree, and on special occasions of the Lodge and Moose Legion. Regalia of the degree includes the French blue Fellowship blazer, white shirt, the Fellowship lapel pin; a blue, gold and black-striped tie, all prominently bearing the "F" Moose Fellowship emblem.

There are no established dues required for the privilege of being a Fellow, but annual contributions are accepted from member of the degree and they are used to cover the cost of administering the Fellowship Degree and to finance several of its official projects.

Principal projects have included the renovation of the Mooseheart Campanile building, maintenance of the Fieldhouse, House of God, and high school on the Mooseheart campus, and supplying and maintaining the uniforms worn by the student band.

Additionally, the Fellowship Degree makes substantial contributions to Moosehaven for the spiritual and recreational needs of residents.

Euchre Tournament's

We will be changing the starting time of the Euchre Tournament's. They will be held every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 7:00pm starting on Thursday, April 14th. There will be a $5.00 entry fee for each player. We will give away 1st and 2nd place prizes.

We have held our first Tournament with 4 players present. Ron Smith Sr. came in first with Morris(Buster) Edgerly in second place. I told the players that we were thinking of changing the starting time to 7pm and all thought that it would in the best interest of those that want to play but found the starting time too early to attend.

We would like to thank Ron Smith Sr., Buster Edgerly, Joyce Haga, and Lee Griffin for their help "working a few of the bugs out".

Improvements

Our swimming pool is no longer a problem. Wow, when did we put in a swimming pool? In all honesty, we didn't. The design of the building and the fact that we didn't have eave troughs caused rain water and snow melt to enter the building forming a pool. We've added eave troughs to help direct water away from the building.

April Dinner

The April dinner will be Roast Beef. It's our hope that the turn out for this dinner will be better than the March dinner. Those of you that didn't make our spaghetti dinner missed out on a great meal. After dinner we set up and played Euchre for several hours and had a great time. Fellowship was at an all time high.
