Saint Emanual of Chicago:
Chronology
The Collect of
Saint Emanual of Chicago

Oh most holy and faithful Saint Emanual, you answered the call of the Almighty to bring the blessings of cleanliness to all of a morally and physically soiled  humankind.
Knowing that the virtue of cleanliness is, as Scripture taught, closest to God's heart, you placed yourself - though a scientist and philosopher  - in the place of a humble maker of soaps and  potions. But following the words of Our Savior, who taught that service to the suffering and ignorant was service to God himself,  you remained ever-faithful to your vocation, bringing scientifically-prepared hygienic and personal care products to the unwashed.
Grant we beseech thee that we, through your intercession and most illustrious example, may be filled with fortitude and uprightness to do God's will and that all stain of sin be removed from our hearts, our bodies, our upholstery and our carpets.

AMEN.
