GROWTH HABITS Sympodial epiphyte
ORIGIN Florida and the Caribbean area
BLOOMING SEASON Spring 
LIGHT Bright 2500 to 3000 fc
TEMPERATURE Winter lows of 14 degrees to 17 degrees C (57 degrees to 63 degrees F) and summer lows of 20 degrees to 24 degrees C (68 degrees to 75 degrees F)
HUMIDITY Will grow well at 50% humidity but will grow better at around the 85% level
WATER During the growing period of spring and summer keep well watered.  From mid October till growth begins again let the plant just about get dry before watering again.
GROWING MEDIA Use a potting mix that drains quickly but still retains moisture.
FERTILIZER During the growing period feed weak weekly a growth mixture that does not contain urea as its nitrogen source (1/2 teaspoon fertilizer per gallon water).
POTS Clay pots might be best for this plant because it will help dry it faster and will help to hold the plant up for this oncidium will get large.
NOTES This plant can get large and the flower spikes will get 6 feet long or longer. The spikes also branch and carry many flowers. Oncidium undulatum is one of the mule ear oncidiums.
