| HUMIDITY |
Will grow at 50% to 60% humidity but will do much
better at 80 to 90%. This is one of the high humidity species and
will do much better at the higher humidity levels. |
| WATER |
Keep moist while the plant is growing. Let the plant
just about get dry from late fall until growth is seen again. |
| GROWING MEDIA |
Use a potting mix that retains moisture well such as
the following, 6 parts seedling bark, 1 part perlite, 1
part charcoal and 1 part chopped sphagnum moss or coarse peat. |
| FERTILIZER |
Feed weak
weekly a growth mixture (1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per gallon water). In early
spring you might change to 2 feedings of a growth mixture and 1
feeding of a blossom buster mix until buds are observed. You could
also use a balance mix such as 20-20-20 throughout the year feeding
weak weekly. |
