GROWTH HABITS Sympodial epiphyte
ORIGIN Belize, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Caribbean
BLOOMING SEASON Late summer to early fall
LIGHT Low around 1400fc
TEMPERATURE Intermediate to hot day temps of 21 to 35 degrees C (70 to 95 degrees F) and night temps of 12 to 29 degrees C (55 to 85 degrees F).
HUMIDITY Will grow at 50% to 60% humidity but will do much better at 80 to 90%
WATER Keep moist at all times.
GROWING MEDIA Plant does best if potted but can be grown mounted. Good potting mix is sphagnum moss or use 6 parts seedling bark, 1 part perlite, 1 part charcoal and 1 part chopped sphagnum moss.
FERTILIZER Feed weak weekly a balanced fertilizer mix (1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per gallon water).
POTS Small clay or plastic pots will work well.
NOTES The flowers are small but abundant and it is an easy Masdevallia to bloom. Carter and Holmes Orchids have the plant to sell.
