GROWTH HABITS Sympodial  epiphyte
ORIGIN Mexico, Panama and northern South America
BLOOMING SEASON Early spring and into the summer but a plant may bloom more than once a year.
LIGHT Moderate shade 2000 to 2600 fc of light
TEMPERATURE Warm to interment with winter lows of 12 degrees to 15 degrees C (54 degrees to 59 degrees F) and during season up to 32 degrees C (91 degrees F)
HUMIDITY Will grow and flower at 50% humidity levels but will do better at 80 to 85% levels
WATER Water often during the growing season (spring to early fall) and once the new growth has matured reduce watering till the potting mix gets just about dry. Never let the plant get completely dry.
GROWING MEDIA Use a potting mix that will retain moisture such as this mix.   6 parts seedling bark, 1 part perlite, 1 part charcoal and 1 part chopped sphagnum moss or coarse peat. The plants will grow well if mounted on cork or tree fern slabs if care is taken in watering.
FERTILIZER Feed weak weekly during the growing season (1/2 teaspoon of growth fertilizer per gallon water).  During the fall and winter you can feed weak weekly a blossom booster mix.
POTS Use plastic pots or mount on cork or tree fern slabs with a pad of sphagnum moss under the plant.
NOTES The flowers are small only about 1 inch in size but several in numbers.
