ORIGIN Nepal, India and Burma
BLOOMING SEASON Summer
LIGHT 2000 to 2500 fc
TEMPERATURE Warm to hot winter lows of 15 degrees C (59 degrees F) and summer highs of 35 degrees C (95 degrees F)
HUMIDITY Will grow at 50% to 60% humidity but will grow better at the 85% to 90% levels.
WATER Keep well watered during the time the plant is growing and once the pseudobulbs are formed reduce watering somewhat.
GROWING MEDIA Any good draining growing potting mix that holds moisture will do such as the following: 6 parts seedling bark, 1 part perlite, 1 part charcoal, 1 part chopped sphagnum moss or coarse peat moss.
FERTILIZER Feed weak weekly a growth fertilizer mix that contains a non urea base nitrogen source (1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon fertilize per gallon of water) during the growth period.  In the fall the fertilizer mix should be changed to a blossom buster mix. Feed at the same rate.
POTS Use plastic pot pans if you are going to pot the plant. The plant will do well if mounted on cork or tree fen and will look more natural.
NOTES The plant is available from Santa Barbara orchid Estate for around $18.00. The flower is also fragrant.
