Keep plant moist at all times. |
| GROWING MEDIA |
Any moisture retaining growing media such as 6 parts
seedling bark 1 part perlite and 1 part charcoal. |
| FERTILIZER |
Use a good non-urea based fertilizer. Feed
plants a weak solution (1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per gallon water) at
each watering. Do not forget to flush pots with plain
water every month or two. |
| POTS |
Grow in shallow pots such as bulb pans. |
| NOTES |
Plants show a great display if allowed to get large.
The flowers are small but in great numbers on each inflorescence.
Plants are available from Santa Barbara Orchid Estate for $17.50.
They also carry other Dendrochilum species, which have seemlier
growth requirements. |
