| WATER |
During the growing period (spring and summer) keep the
plant moist at all times. Once the pseudobulb has matured
(during the fall) rest the plant by keeping it almost totally dry at
the roots. |
| GROWING MEDIA |
A good mix for this plant is 6 parts medium size bark,
1 part perlite, 1 part coarse peat or 1/2 part chopped sphagnum moss
and 1 part medium charcoal. The peat or sphagnum is not
absolutely essential but will help to maintain moisture during the
growing period. |
| FERTILIZER |
Feed weak weekly (1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water) a
high non urea based nitrogen fertilizer during the growth period and
no fertilizer during the rest period. |
| POTS |
Plastic pots. When repotting this plant place it
in an oversize pot for this plant sends out many growths and a
massive root system will soon fill the pot. |
| NOTES |
This plant can be repotted when new growths appear but
watering should be reduced till new roots are seen. |
