Keep well watered during the growth period (spring to
early fall) then decrease water so plant gets just about dry but
never totally dry during late fall and winter. |
| GROWING MEDIA |
A potting mix of 6 parts small bark, 1 part perlite, 1
part charcoal and 1 part chopped sphagnum moss. |
| FERTILIZER |
During growth period (spring and summer) feed weak
weekly (1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon per gallon water) a non urea based
growth fertilizer. In early fall change to a blossom booster
fertilizer and feed weak weekly as above. |
| POTS |
Well-drained plastic or clay pots, baskets or mounted
will all work. Watch plants in baskets or mounted that they do
not get dry. Keep pots small and do not over pot this plant. |
| NOTES |
This is a small plant with large non-fragrant
flowers. Flowers come complete with a spear. Have seen
this plant offered by several dealers. |
