ORIGIN The Philippine Islands
BLOOMING SEASON Spring and summer
LIGHT Moderate 2000 to 3000 fc
TEMPERATURE Warm with winter lows of 10 degrees to 12 degrees C (50 degrees to 53 degrees F)
HUMIDITY Will grow at 50% humidity but will do better at 75 to 85%
WATER Keep well watered during the growth period (spring to early fall) then decrease water so plant gets just about dry but never totally dry during late fall and winter.
GROWING MEDIA A potting mix of 6 parts small bark, 1 part perlite, 1 part charcoal and 1 part chopped sphagnum moss.
FERTILIZER During growth period (spring and summer) feed weak weekly (1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon per gallon water) a non urea based growth fertilizer.  In early fall change to a blossom booster fertilizer and feed weak weekly as above.
POTS Well-drained plastic or clay pots, baskets or mounted will all work.  Watch plants in baskets or mounted that they do not get dry.  Keep pots small and do not over pot this plant.
NOTES This is a small plant with large non-fragrant flowers.  Flowers come complete with a spear.  Have seen this plant offered by several dealers.
