| Goodbye, I finished, nothing more, I look to your eyes but they're on the floor, Your chin trembles, though you make not a sound, I search for more words but none are found, At a loss for lexis I start to repeat, But ashamed, I mumble down to my feet, This hurts me more than I can ever say, I hope we meet again someday, You finally see me, tears on your face, How would you react in my place? Can't you see my tears inside? See the crying I've tried to hide? If life's a show, stand and take your final bow, It doesn't matter, it's over now, Don't look at me like your heart's been broken, I can't take it back, the words are spoken. |
