Mrs. Anne McCaffrey's Rules:

Anne McCaffrey has stated to us and those before us rules that "we" club founders have promised her we would follow. With this she too then granted us the right to write in her world.

Using of Anne McCaffrey's Characters is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of human and dragon names, citing of these individuals as personal persona ancestors, or being relatives of these characters. That is not being a creative writer that is making your character popular by using someone else's fame.

No War at all on Pern!

Any alternate universes created by Anne McCaffrey or otherwise are not to ever come in contact with Pern. Pern will not be discovered by other universes ever.

There will be no use of magic on Pern!

You may not use a storyline that includes Benden Weyr, Ruatha Hold, or the main Northern Harper Hall; these places are her's and strictly her copyrighted things (the same with the other holds). The only exceptions to this rule are that your character may have been born there, or transferred there. You may then reflect back to the spot or the climate, but may not know any special holders. (A.E.: Groghe etc)

Pernese dragons in the Pern RPG world come in only 5 colors: gold, bronze, brown, blue, and green. No white dragons, orange dragons, polka dotted dragons, rusty dragons etc. Remember Ruth was the only exception to Anne's Rule and it was her Rule to break not ours.

There is no religion on Pern; Therefore, the practice of religion on Pern is not allowed.

Magic and the ability to put innocent women under a trance with herbs is not part of Pern. Those talents are for the Pegasus and Tower series only, if someone could run around lifting things with their minds or reading minds how would the fun happen? Dragon's can't read other dragon's mind unless they bespeak each other, and so it shall be Dragon's can't read other people's minds but their own.

Golds only impress to Women and Bronzes only impress to Men

Jay's Rules:

Remember, sexual situations may occur be sure your parents know if you are a younger person.

The following is how one will impress: Note, no one color is better than the other!

  • Golds are for Heterosexual Females only
  • Bronzes are for Heterosexual Males only
  • Browns are for Heterosexual and Bisexual Males and Homosexual Females
  • Blues are for Bisexual Males, Bisexual Females, and Heterosexual Females
  • Green are for Homosexual Males and Heterosexual Female

When Impression time comes, the following will be taken into hand by the BoD

  • You have been typing regularly. Posting is what the club works from. When you post, others can post. If you don't, everyone is stuck. Let others know if you will be on LOA. (Leave of Absence)
  • How many days you are here. LOAs are okay and there are an infinite number of them to use but if you are not here, or arn't posting impression will more than likely not be an option, no use impressing when you don't even play.
  • How well you type. Example is if you type over the minimum amount of sentences per post. Or if you type bigger words for smaller words like cascading for spilling. It makes a post more brilliant and seem more interesting. Spelling is important as well, if possible use spell check, but you wont be smacked around for making mistakes or mis-spelling something.
  • Typing for each character, dragon and flit is essential in this. If you do not post for every character you have, more than likely you will not impress. If a BoD member is a candidate he or she will be left out of the deciding for him or herself and if one person has a bond to another person such as future Weyrmates then they will not decide on that either.

--No explicit pictures are to be sent in the e-mails such as nudity or any other bad things. We do allow for pics of dragons or a doll of yourself or character picture to be included. Ex. Golddragon.jpg
--No hate mail. No out of character posts on the playing boards, Thats what the lounge is for.
    --NO power playing (God mooding)
