Volcano's Shadow Hold has been in existence far before the Weyr. It was built 50 turns before the 9th Pass and is bustling with people including the Lord and Lady holder and their massive number of children. The hold prospers with its luxurious fruit crops from around the Hold. It is set at the base of the dormant volcano, right next to the slope. There is a brilliant lake only a few miles from the hold where it gets all of it's water from.
