Blurring the Lines by Moonshadow
One cold Sunday evening,
You call me to come ‘round.
You want another chance with me:
To pick “us” up at Lost and Found.
When the film is over,
We might eat Rocky Road.
You just broke my heart again,
And now you’re speaking code.
Your folks won’t be home ‘til late,
You tell me with a smile.
My mother wants me home at one,
But that’s not for a little while.
You take me in your arms,
And you ask me if I’ll stay.
Do you want me to forgive you?
Can you ask again another day?
Whatever’s passed between us,
No matter what impends,
When I fall in love, know this:
We’re better off as friends.
