The hot tub arrives: Over night, the hot tub was installed. At 10:30am, Tom got up. He went out into the garden and noticed the hot tub. Everyone except Claire got up to look at it. Darren said, 'They are trying to spice up the programme. I'm going to get one of these'. Mel said, 'Who has got a swimming costume?' Claire said, 'I haven't'.
They started practising the task.
Tom said, 'I now know why I'm going into the Diary Room. To say why I want to stay'. Claire said, 'I think it's reverse psychology. Everybody wanted to go and now they've given us a reason to stay'. Mel then said, 'They will probably put a mic above the tub'
They all run through the task again. Anna said, 'I think we've got it'.
Darren said, 'We can make our paper boats again and have a boat race in the tub'. Darren then said, 'We can do the eviction from the tub on Friday'. Everybody said, 'Yes'.
Someone was called in to see BB. They returned and said, 'Claire isn't to be given any wheat. They will sort something out'.
They start worrying about how much chloride to put into the tub. Darren went to see BB. He said, 'Someone is going to come and test it every day, so don't worry about it'.
Someone said, 'Maybe they will give the last 3 people a 10,000 piece jig-saw for their task'.
They start talking about Power Rangers.
Darren said, 'I heard my fan club over the wall. They were singing, we love you Darren. It was my 11-13 year old fan club'.
Mel and Darren are talking about the Millenium Dome. Darren said, 'I have to meet and greet people. When we first got there, we had to wear dust masks'. Mel said, 'You must have looked like a lot of Michael Jackson's'. Darren then said, 'Anyway, that's enough about the crappy Dome'.
Anna said to Claire, 'Nick was worried about what people outside thought of him. No wonder. He was a little minx. No wonder he was paranoid'.
At 1:05pm. Mel went to see BB. She was going to ask if they could have a game to play'. She returned and said, 'Big Brother will get back to me on that one'.
Mel was seeing to the chickens with someone. She said, 'My God, there are loads of eggs'. One of the chickens is trying to peck at her. She then said, 'Piss off. I'll kick you and stamp on you. Fuck off'. There are 15 eggs.
Anna said, 'Tomorrow night we ought to dress up as somebody famous. Everyone is invited'.
Darren goes to the Diary Room. He is worried about his kids coming down on Friday.
Claire said, 'Is Big Brother a bit like bad cop, good cop?' Mel said, 'Yeah! One tells you off and the other one listens to you'.
Claire said to the group, 'I'm sorry about last night. Big Brother was telling me to put my mic on at 2:00am in the morning'. Anna said, 'Don't worry, we'll get you back'. Darren said to Claire, 'You and Craig were up late last night. Were you planning all kinds of different booby traps?' Craig said, 'Yes, but I talked her out of it'. Claire then said, 'You should have heard what he was saying about you all last night'.
Mel said, 'We should stock up on drink'. Darren said, 'It's alright for you to say that. You know you are here for 2 more weeks'.
BB announced, 'You have 5 minutes until the start of this weeks task'. They were all called into the Diary Room to perform the task. They were told later that they had passed the task.
They all decided to get into the hot tub. They got out a bit later and continued sunbathing again.
The housemates begin discussing the shopping bill for the week. They decide to spend �25 on shopping and have �10 each for themselves. Craig said, 'I can buy a pallet of biscuits'.
Someone was called to the Diary Room. They return and tell the others that the chicken run has to be made higher to keep the fox out. Someone said, 'Who's going to help me?' Darren said, 'Whinge, whinge, whinge'. Mel said, 'I'm not whinging'.
Claire, Tom and Craig are erecting the new hen fence. Claire is trying to tell the farmer and the builder how to put it up. Claire said to Craig, 'Why are you looking at me like. Is there anything you want dear. You are nodding your head and thinking what are you on about'. Craig said, 'We came in here for a holiday and now we are working'. Claire makes Tom and Craig a cup of tea. Tom said to Craig, 'You are doing this like a professional'. Claire then said to Craig, 'What's the length like?' Craig said, 'Ooh! You've only been here 5 minutes the fence should be ok. It's not the length. It's what we do with it'. Tom said to Craig, 'Speak for yourself'.
7:00pm. The fence is finished for today. Craig said, 'I will go into the Diary Room and ask for more wire'.
Anna and Mel are cooking the evening meal. Darren is in bed with a headache.
Anna is talking to Mel about the Edinburgh festival. Anna said, 'It started as an arts and music festival. The fringe just popped up from no where. There is just so, so, so much to do and see. Lots of late nights and early mornings'. Anna then explained how you can make loads of money if you rent out your flat during the festival. Anna said, 'You can make shit loads of money'.
Mel and Anna are still preparing the meal. Mel said, 'It doesn't taste of anything'. It is some kind of lentil bake. They decide to add some curry powder for taste.
Anna said to Mel,, 'I enjoyed the task. I got quite nervy'. Anna went on to explain how slowly Mel tackled the task and that Craig was hesitant.
Mel started talking about the meal. She said, 'It's going to be strange. Curried rice and lots of cheese on top'. Anna said, 'Shall we fry the potatoes after they have boiled?' Mel said, 'Yeah'. Then someone said, 'When Darren comes out he's gonna have kittens and say you don't do it like that'. Mel said, 'It started out as stuffed marrow, to mushroom risotto now curried rice and cheese on top'. Claire said to Mel, 'I definitely promise I will cook tomorrow'.
At 8:40pm. The lighter was discovered.
The housemates have been given an additional task to show off their fashion flair. They have to take a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and add their own design. There is going to be a fashion parade at 10:00pm tomorrow night [Thursday]. They draw lots of who will design for who. It turns out that Mel will design for Darren. Claire for Craig. Tom for Anna. Darren for Claire. Anna for Tom and Craig for Tom.
They are rifling through the goodies that BB has provided. Anna said, 'Who's gonna get the gay boy jeans?'
Everyone is discussing what to do with their garments.
10:00pm. They are all working hard on their outfits.
Mel said, 'I wanna do something to my jeans and t-shirt. Some bleaching'.
Tom said to Mel, 'Do you want to get in the jacuzzi?' Mel said, 'No. I wanna do something in here'. Anna said, 'I trust Tom implicitly'. Mel made some comments that I couldn't understand. Mel then said to Tom, 'It was a private conversation'. Tom said, 'Well, keep it private'. Mel said, 'Well that told me'.
It's 12:20am. Mel sadi, 'Wow!' She has been looking at the jacuzzi. Darren checked the jacuzzi out. He said, 'It's hot. Mel said, 'I'm getting in'. In turn, they all get in. Darren said, 'Is it really worth getting in there? Everyone said, 'Yes. It's lovely'. Darren joins them. They are all having a lot of fun and really enjoying themselves. Anna said, We don't need our friends anymore'. Tom said, 'The secret of life is Big Brother'. Craig said, 'Will someone please come into the Diary Room', jokingly.
They are talking about the recent task. Everyone is enjoying the jacuzzi.
12:50am. They are playing Chinese whisper in the tub. They go on to humming tunes into the water and the housemates have to guess the song.
At 1:25am. Craig is first out of the tub. The rest follow one by one, leaving Darren in on his own.
At 2:00am. Darren, Craig, Mel, Tom and Anna are up discussing and working on their designs for the fashion parade later today.
Craig is called to the Diary Room. Everyone has to double check their mics.
Mel is trying to establish the gender of the camera operator. She is staring into one of the mirrors. Mel said, 'If you are a boy you will go up. If you are a girl you will go down.
Someone said to Anna, 'What time is your party tomorrow night?' Anna said, '9:30 - 10:00pm. Come as you are You can be flexible like and bring alcohol, Big Brother, for the party'.
Craig said, 'We could do with some music for the fashion show'.
At 2:30am. The sound feed was cut yet again.
I'm very sorry to say but, I'm off to Reading Festival from today until Monday. So, service will be lacking until then.
