In the house: Darren is about to leave the house. They all hug and kiss. Anna said, 'I love you, I love you, I love you. I am so shitting myself. Oh my God, I'm going to cry. No cries'. Darren leaves the house.
In the house. Between the shows: Craig said, 'Anna you are going to win'. Anna said, 'We are both winners'. Craig said, 'That was a nervous 10 seconds'. Anna said of Davina, 'She's a minx that one'. Craig said, 'I can't believe it'. Anna said, 'We've got ages now'.
At about 9:20pm Craig then said. 'What are you going to spend the money on?' Anna said, 'Treats for everyone'. Craig said, 'There's a little girl out there. I'm going to give the money to her. She's got Downs Syndrome and is in need of a heart/lung transplant. She desparately needs to go to America. Every penny is going to her'. Anna said, 'Brilliant. She deserves it'. Craig said, 'I thought Darren was going to win'. He went on to say, 'I can't really relax. I'm more nervous now than nominations. It's good to see them getting the crowd going out there'. Anna said, 'Yeah. In this shit weather'. Anna has become very subdued. Almost as if something was bothering her.
At 10:00pm, Craig said, 'When you said you knew who was going to win, was it Darren?' Anna said, 'I'm not telling'. Craig said, 'I thought Darren was. It's like being a rock star. I can't wait to see how many votes they've had'.
At 10:08pm, Anna goes to the Diary Room. Before she goes in Craig said, 'Ask Big Brother if we can open the door and hear the music'. Anna said, 'Yeah'. Craig said, 'If they say no, we'll do it any way'.
Anna comes out at 10:10pm. She said, 'They will get back about the exact time of the announcement and we have to keep the door closed. Strict as usual'.
Anna is not remotely interested in what Craig is saying. She seems really pissed off. Anna is answering with mmmm and yeah to his questions.
Craig said, 'That was the crowd chanting'. Anna said, 'I don't want to listen'.
At 10:12pm, Anna said, 'I'm going for a nap Big Brother'. At 10:14pm, Anna was called to the Diary Room. Craig said, 'Tell them to put Bobby Davro on for us'. Anna returned and said, 'Less than an hour'.
At 10:20pm, Craig was called to the Diary Room. Anna is cleaning her teeth. You can hear the crowd noise outside.
Craig returned and said, 'I told them about going onto the stage. It's the closest I'll come to being a pop star'.
At 10:25pm, Anna is called to the Diary Room yet again. Craig was muttering something under his breath. I couldn't catch a word of it.
Anna came out and said, 'I can't get my head around it. I'll deal with it when the time comes'.
The Final show: Davina announced that there is only 5 minutes left to vote and 2% between them. Davina brings on all the previously evicted housemates to join her on the stage. The phone vote is officially the largest phone vote in UK television history. She then announces who the winner is. She said, 'It's Craig'. Craig and Anna are hugging. Craig said, 'Anna is a winner as well'. Davina said, 'Big Brother has one more decree. You are allowed to take one momento of your stay in the house'. Craig said, 'Anna'. Davina said, 'I'm afraid she will be leaving the house a little bit before you'. Davina said, 'It's got to be something you can carry. Not the sofas or the beds'. Davina then said to Anna, 'I'm coming to get ya'. Davina made her way across the bridge to greet Anna. The door opens and Anna leaves the house. Craig is waving to his family and friends, then shuts the door to the house. Anna runs up the path. Davina is heard saying, 'Let Tanya go. Let Tanya go'. Tanya her girlfriend runs to greet her. They hug, then meet Davina. Anna greets her friends. She poses for photos. Then greets the fans and signs some autographs. She makes her way with Davina to the stage. She mounts the stage to rapturous applause. She takes her bows and blows kisses to the crowd. Then moves into the studio.
Davina said to Anna, 'It's mad'. Anna said, 'It's madder than Mick McMad. It certainly is'. Davina said, 'You always said that house was mad. What was the maddest thing about the house?' Anna said, 'I don't know. It just seemed to go on forever, and ever. Not knowing if you were going to leave or stay and it was just like never ending'. Davina said, 'What about today, how much of a nightmare was today?' Anna said, 'It's the longest day ever. Sweeping the floor bored out of your mind'. Then Davina said, 'You were desparate for someone else weren't you at that Spanish party. You went into the Diary Room and said, if anyone else wants to come'. Anna said, 'Yes. There was 3 of us there having a mad time. Saying do you want a drink'. Davina said, 'Yes. 3 people at a party'. Davina then said, 'You made it for the entire run'. Applause all round. Davina said, 'That's a real feat. Are you proud?' Anna said, 'Yes. I'm so proud. I almost walked haf way through it'. Davina said, 'Why did you nearly do that?' Anna said, 'I was fed up'. Davina said, 'What was making you fed up? Was it tensions?' Anna said, 'Yeah. There was a lot of tension. I had no one to talk to. I was feeling really low and depressed. Cameras everywhere. I thought this is a mad place. I just wanted to go'. Davina said, 'And you missed little sausage there'. Pointing at Tanya her girlfriend. Anna said, 'Yes'. Davina said, 'I'm going to ask you some quick fire questions and some quick fire answers. Who was the funniest person in the house?' Anna said, 'Caroline'. Davina said, 'Who was the laziest?' Anna said, 'Me'. Davina said, 'Who were you closest to?' Anna said, 'Can I say 3 people, Caroline, Mel, Darren'. Davina said, 'Finally, which housemate will you miss the most?' Anna said, 'Mel'. Davina then said, 'Who did you fancy the most?' Tanya said, 'Easy'. Anna said, 'Mel. Everyone fancied her'. Davina said, 'Yeah. The hormones running through that house. We were glad she was there'. Davina said, 'Your t-shirt. That one with the T and 10.09.00?' Anna said, 'The T was for Tanya and the date was our anniversary'. Davina said, 'On that day you [Tanya] wanted to get a message to Anna but, we wouldn't let you'. Anna said, 'Meanie'. Davina then said, 'You have become such a phenomenon. There were hundreds of people that wanted to come over. We couldn't fit them all in'. They then show her Malloy's Bar in Dublin and speak to Katherine and her geography teacher from school. They show her the nuns and folk with pants on their heads. Davina then said, 'You are also very big with lots of celebrities. I'll name some of them. Frank Skinner. Zoe Ball and Norman Cook celebrity couple. George Michael, who by the way, wants to take you out for dinner. That's a serious invitation in a couple of weeks time. She then reads out an amusing letter from Kathy Burke. Her favourite actress. Anna said, 'That's brilliant. Thanks a million Kathy'. She is awarded a 2 week holiday for 2 in the Caribbean. Davina said, 'There's one little catch. You have to take this lady with you''. They bring out Juanita the computerised baby. Davina said, 'It's ok. I've taken the batteries out'. Davina then said, 'Listen you are a star. You are a very, very funny lady. You absolutely came into your own over the last few weeks. Fantastic, fantastic. Thank you for being on Big Brother and lighting up our screens'. Anna said, 'Thank you'. They finish by showing her video moments.
Craig waiting for Davina: It's 11:09pm, Craig is playing with the bow and arrow. Craig said, 'Do you think that I should bring Marjorie out as a souvenier?' He went into the garden and picked up the basketball. He said, 'Is this ok Big Brother? Someone tell me. Conrad?' He then said, 'Conrad, can I have the unicycle?'
At 11:10pm, Davina makes her way to the house to meet Craig. She hugs him. Davina said, 'You are the winner. Can you believe it?' Craig said, 'No. Not at all'. Davina said, 'I know you must be gagging to go and see Brenda and all your friends and family'. Craig said, 'Yes I am'. Craig said, 'Have you met her?' Davina said, 'Have I met her? Your mother is now my mother'. Davina said, 'Before that, I want to have a chat with you on the sofa'. They seat themselves on the sofa. Davina said, 'Big congratulations'. Craig said, 'Thank you very much'. They have a hug. Davina said, 'The support for you has been phenominal. How are you feeling?' Craig said, 'Quite calm really. Glad it's all over and ready to explode'. Davina said, 'You realise that you have the same birthday as Anna?' Craig said, 'Yes'. Davina said, 'That's the same day as mine. Fellow Librans'. Davina said, 'I'm going to have a little look around the house with you in a minute but first, I want to ask you a few questions. I'm the first person you have seen from outside since Claire walked in. Not just me but all these guys [she points to the camera crew]'. Craig said, 'Are you real?' Davina said, 'What's been going through your mind since Anna left?' Craig said, 'Just nerves really. Trying to keep myself calm. Stay focused'. Davina said, 'What are you nervous about?' Craig said, 'What's out there. I've been locked in here for 9 weeks'. Davina said, 'I can't tell you everything that's happened but, we are in the middle of a fuel crisis'. Then Craig said. 'I just want to know'. Davina said, 'The Queen Mother has had a birthday'. Davina said, 'We've been watching you 24/7. And I would just like to say for all the ladies out there. You look good in a pair of shorts'. Davina called out to the crowd, 'Doesn't he ladies?' The crowd cheer. Davina then said, 'If you don't believe how good you look, take a look at this'. They show some video clips. Davina said, 'Watching you breast feed Juanita. I was crying. Crying with laughter'. Craig said, 'Not as much as me, being up all night'. Davina said, 'Do you know how many people voted for you tonight?' Craig said, 'I've got about 30 friends. They all probably voted twice so about 60 people'. Davina sais, '3 and a half million'. Craig said, 'Million'. Davina said, '3 and a half million people phoned in for you to win'. Craig said, 'Why?' Davina said, 'Nominated 4 times. Did you ever think you were going to be out this week?' Craig said, 'Yes. EVery week'. Davina said, 'Really?' Craig said, 'It was more nervous on the nominations than tonight'. Davina said, 'There were many times that you said you were finding it hard. Who did you miss the most when they left?' Craig said, 'When they left. I wouldn't like to answer that. I could offend people'. Davina whispered to Craig. Craig said, 'Claire? Yes it was Claire'. Davina said, 'I tricked you there Craig'. Craig said, 'They were all great friends. No offence to the other 9. We just clicked as soon as she came in here. We just clicked'. Davina said, 'You were naughty'. Craig said, 'No I wasn't'. Davina said, 'Yes you were. Hiding those cigarettes and trying to wake Juanita'. Davina said, 'You did fancy a few girls in the house, not just Claire. To put it bluntly. You were a bit desperate'. Craig said, 'For what?' Davina said, 'Let's see Mr. Sexy in action'. They go to some video clips. Davina said, 'Claire, Nichola, Mel. Any of the girls I can understand, but Darren?' Craig said, 'Darren was the best kisser by far, by far'. Davina said, 'You should have seen his face when he saw that earlier. He though no way man'. Davina then said, 'It's almost time to pack up and leave but before we go. I want a quick guided tour. Is there anything you will miss about the house?' Craig said, 'Big Brother. I'm gonna miss Big Brother telling me off shouting at me every night and morning in there'. Davina said, 'Did you try talking to him?' Craig said, 'Yeah. I think we kind of bonded'. Davina said, 'Big Brother is always with you Craig'. Craig said, 'Always watching me. That's what worries me'. They go for the tour, but changes her mind. She said, 'Hold on, hold on. There are a lot of people that have missed you'. They show him the people in the health club on the video screen. Then show him his dogs. He takes her on the guided tour. Starting with the girls room. They hop into the bed that Claire slept in. Davina said, 'You can tell he's not had it for a while. He'll jump into anything, any woman. This is great. This is a famous bed'. He points to who's bed was who's. They go to the kitchen. Davina said, 'Today you did all the washing'. Craig said, 'Yes I did'. Davina then said, 'Wait. This is the table where the confrontation with Nick happened Craig said, 'Oh no. How is he?' Davina said, 'Lets say Nick to the crowds outside'. The crowd starts booing. Craig said, 'Shit'. Davina said, 'Craig did you know, this was one of your turning points. 8 and a half million people watched you confront him on the Web. Where were you sitting?' Craig points to where they were sat. Craig said, 'Do any of you guys want a cup of tea? Help yourselves there'. They proceed to the garden. Davina said, 'The world you are going out to, isn't the same as the world you left behind. Are you ready? There are a lot of people who want to see you out there'. Craig said, 'As ready as I'll ever be Davina'. Davina said, 'Are you ready to go then?' Craig said, 'I've got a football. Can I kick a football to them?' Davina said, 'What are you taking with you?' Craig said, 'I'm taking the unicycle'. Davina escorts him to the main entrance. She said, 'You've won Big Brother. Enjoy the rest of your life'. Craig leaves the house the fireworks start to go off. He meets up with his Mum, Brenda and sister. All the time the fireworks are slowly catching up with him. He had to be hurried up by a member of the production staff. He meets up with the rest of his family and friends. He stops to explain the story behind his reason for being in the house. Davina takes him to greet the press. He doesn't sign any autographs. Mounts the stage. Takes his applause. Fireworks are going off. Davina calls on the other 9 contestants to greet him on stage. Davina said, 'There is one person missing'. Craig isn't quite paying attention. Davina squished Craig's cheeks and looked directly at him and said, 'There is one person missing'. Craig said, 'Nick'. Davina said, 'Nick is here to present you with your money'. Nick appears with 5 bodyguards. The crowd are booing. You can't tell how loud because they are playing some music very loud at the same time. He mounts the stage. Greets Craig with a hug. Craig said, 'Thanks for all your help'. Davina said to Nick, 'You are going to present Craig with his money'. Nick said to Craig, 'We'll go halves'. Davina said, 'It's time to put right all of those wrongs you did in the house'. With that, Davina hands Nick the device to press to transfer the money from the Big Brother account to Craigs. Davina said, 'Craig you now have �70,000. We know what you are going to do with the money. We think that's absolutely fantastic. How are you feeling?' Craig said, 'Brilliant'. Davina said, 'What's it like seeing Nick again?' Craig shook Nick's hand and said, 'It's nice to see you again' Davina generally thanks everyone and everyone that voted. She concluded by saying, 'These 11 men and women have made this a summer we will never ever forget. So let's enjoy theiir finest moments in the house'. They show video clips The final shots are of the girls room, Diary Room, lounge and a garden shot into the house. The lights go out on UK Big Brother 2000.
