Is the baby alive: At 10:45am, they are all compiling the shopping list.
At 11:00am, Darren is chasing the chickens away from the vegetable patch. He said, 'If you don't stop that, I'll chuck chlorine on you'.
The housemates have been given a new task. It comprises of 3 parts. Each person has a different part to do each day. Craig was given part one - the body test. At 1:00pm, he has to run between 2 points in the garden as many times as he can in 30 seconds. Then he has 3 minutes to try and get 10 balls through a basket ball hoop. Then at 3:00pm, it's the jumping test. There are 3 lines on the lawn. He has to sideways jump on each of the lines as many times as he can in 30 seconds. Then do the basket ball bit again. Finally, at 5:00pm, he has to do press-ups for 30 seconds. Then the basketball again. Darren has to look after a real to life baby doll for 24 hours. It behaves just like a real baby. It has to be fed, cuddled and changed. You lose points if you neglect the child. Anna is studying the Highway Code to do the Driving Theory test. Which she will take later today. The tasks will swap around each day.
Anna said, 'What are we going to call the doll?' Darren said, 'Juanita'.
Anna is having trouble with the chickens. She said, 'I hate these bloody stupid chickens'.
Craig said, 'On the body test, you will be tested at 1:00pm, 3:00pm and 5:00pm'. Craig then said, 'I've got to look after a baby. I may ask Big Brother to change the task to indoors because the grass is wet'.
Anna said, 'On the basketball, you have 3 minutes to pot 10 shots'. Craig said, 'I'll get 20 in'.
At 11:30am, Anna said, 'We've got a breast feeding device'.
At 12:10pm, Craig said, 'Look at that big dirty lump of chicken shit there'.
12:20pm announced, 'Will you please come and greet the new member of the household'. Anna said, 'I hope it's not an ugly baby. I'm not having an ugly baby in my house'.
At 12:22pm, Craig said, 'I'm not looking after a baby for 2 nights'. He proceeds to gather up his bed clothes and moves to the girls room. He chooses Sada and Claire's old bed.
At 12:30pm, the baby starts crying. It sounds just like a real baby and just as loud. Darren said, 'I just picked her up and she started crying'.
12:40pm, Craig is running up and down the garden and doing squatts. Anna is reading the Highway Code in the hot tub. Darren is tending to the baby.
At 12:45pm, the baby cries again. Darren fed the baby and said, 'I think Craig is right. He won't be able to sleep in here tonight'.
At 12:50pm, the baby is still crying. It stops at 12:55pm.
1:10pm, and Craig starts the running part of the task. He managed 20 and only gets 2 out of 10 baskets. BB said, 'Thank you Craig. Your scores have been recorded'.
At 1:20pm, Craig is practicing with the basketball.
At 1:30pm, Darren said, 'I can't wait to say to Craig. Get in that room, I'm sleeping in with Anna tonight'.
Craig said, 'I will use the first minute of the basketball task to get my breath back. Then I will get 10 baskets easy'. Anna said, 'I wouldn't waste a minute. I would do the minute slowly. You might get a few'.
Craig said, 'A nice high carbohydrate diet of Chinese the night before. Just what an athlete needs'.
2:05pm, Darren is making up baby milk and said, 'Mel, am I doing this right? If I'm not, can you ring Big Brother up and let me know'.
At 2:10pm the shopping arrives. They took all their treats out. Anna said to Darren, 'You are in charge of the tobacco'.
2:25pm, and Craig is sunbathing.
At 2:45pm, Anna is reading the Highway Code. Darren said, 'I can't find all the pieces for the baby crib'.
3:05pm, Craig is called to do the jumping part of the task. He manages only 4 out of the 10 baskets.
At 3:10pm, the baby hasn't cried for over 3 hours. Anna said, 'Is that baby alive?' Darren said, 'She's just being looked after well'.
At 3:15pm, Darren is still trying to put the crib together. Craig takes a sleeping bag and pillows in to the garden to sunbathe.
3:20pm, Anna is sunbathing.
At 3:25pm, Darren said to Anna, 'Make sure you don't touch the grass'. Craig said, 'Stick to the cannabis. It's better'.
Craig is talking to Anna about the baby waking in the middle of the night. He said, 'We'll have to walk it or something. I'll probably wake up with a hard on. Sometimes I can't even get out of bed until it's gone'.
At 3:50pm, Darren heard something begin shouting and said, 'Were they calling me a wanker out there?' Craig said, 'No'. They discuss how to do the press ups. Craig has some concerns of a health nature regarding them. Darren said, 'I'm having a beer. I can't take it anymore'.
It's 4:10pm and they are discussing what sort of parties they would like if they win at the task. Darren said, 'I would like a Caribbean one. There would have to cannabis'. Anna said, 'There would have to be Guiness at mine'.
Anna goes through the Highway Code with Darren.
At 4:40pm, Darren said, 'I'm going for a read'. Before he can go, Anna asked him a question about fog lights. Then Craig and Darren have a heated discussion about fog lights.
Craig then said to Darren, 'The baby hasn't woken up yet. You'll be up all night with it'.
At 5:10pm, Craig is tested on his press ups. He manages 55. I think he gets 3 out of 10 baskets. The baby began crying during the test. After the test, Craig got in the hot tub and Darren changed the baby's nappy.
5:15pm, the baby starts crying again. Craig shouted to Darren jokingly, 'Can you shut that baby up? I'm trying to relax out here'.
At 5:20pm, the baby cries again. Darren fed it and chatted away to the baby.
Anna said, 'I'll have a nice healthy crisp sandwich for the afternoon'.
6:00pm, the baby starts up again. Craig said, 'It's just like a real baby'.
6:40pm, Darren said, 'I've got to look after Mel's garden'. He starts to potter around the garden with the baby in his arms.
Anna goes in for her theory test. On her return she said, 'They asked me 35 questions. Nothing to do with road signs'.
Darren said, 'The person who tells us the tasks is Scottish. It's been the same person from the start'. Anna said, ' I wonder if he studied setting tasks at university'.
Darren said, 'I didn't realise Tom was 31. I thought he was older than that'.
At 7:55pm, the baby is crying. Darren is in the kitchen cuddling the baby. He feeds the baby at 8:05pm. Anna begins chatting to the baby in baby talk. She said, 'Are you alright Juanita?'
Craig is preparing the evening meal. He is reheating some of the Chinese from last night.
Darren is talking about visiting his Grandmother when he gets out. He said, 'Remember Grandmother, I want Jerk Pork for Saturday night'. Then Craig said, 'If you're having that, I'm coming along as well.
Darren is wondering what has happened to everybody since they left. Especially what happens to them on eviction night.
It's 8:30pm, the baby is crying yet again. Anna said, 'Maybe she wants to come out and chat with us. Show her some flash cards'. Anna then said, 'I'm going to have a big night Thursday night. Be up till about 4:30am - 5:00am. Then have a 9 hour sleep and get up again'.
They are discussing what parties each of them might have if they win at the task. Darren said, 'We could have a designer Caribbean night'. Anna said, 'Yeah. With some hip-hop garage music'. Craig said, 'I might have a Mexican night'.
Darren then said to Anna, 'Are you going to do your press ups tonight?' Anna said, 'No. I'll be lucky if I do 10'. They begin talking about the different physical elements of the task. Suddenly, Juanita chuckled. Craig said, 'She's well content. Until we have our go'. Craig then said, 'I can't wait to see my friends and family'.
Darren is deciding what to wear on Friday.
Anna said, 'It will be funny looking after the baby'. Craig said, 'I'm not looking forward to it'.
Anna and Craig are joking about people making their votes. Anna said, 'All you people ringing in now, don't get my number wrong. Don't get the last digit wrong'. Craig said, 'If you ring in for me. Ring up 3 times for me a once each for these two'.
Craig said, 'If the baby cries tonight, we can go out and watch him'. Anna said, 'Yes, and we can laugh'.
Craig said, 'Do you think the show is as big here as it was in Holland?' Anna said, 'I don't know'. Craig said, 'They had over 75% of the population watch'. Anna said, 'No. Probably just 3 people - our Mum's'.
At 9:10pm, Anna is called in to the Diary Room. She returns with the battery change. She goes to get a battery out and said, 'Fucking hell. There's a spider in the battery bag. Big Brother has got a cruel sense of humour'.
9:35pm, the baby is crying. Darren feeds Juanita. Craig said to Darren, 'You have 5 years practice with children'. Darren said, 'Not with a doll that you keep having to run to'.
|At 10:00pm, Darren puts Juanita to bed and retires himself. Craig starts singing to 'Rock-a-bye-baby'. 'Poor little baby don't you sleep. 'Cos Darren's going to make you weep'.
10:15pm, and Craig and Anna are reading.
11:00pm, everyone is in bed.
11:30pm, Craig is up. He is reading and has a drink.
At 11:50pm, he goes back to bed.
It's 3:45am. Everything has been really quiet in the house. No one has woken up. Not even Juanita. The last time she cried was 9:35pm
Suddenly at 3:55am, Juanita starts crying. Darren jumps out of bed. He gathers up the baby. He tries feeding Juanita. She doesn't want it. He then checks her nappy. Darren starts to put a clean nappy on Juanita and she chuckles and goes quiet. Darren climbs back into bed and leaves Juanita perilously close to the edge of the bed.
At 4:00am, Juanita starts screaming again. Darren feeds her and gets back into bed. He goes back to sleep, again with her in the bed with him.
4:28am, Juanita sighed. Darren took the bottle from her mouth. Put it to one side then they both settled down to go to sleep again
