The day after Andy's departure: I tune in to find the housemates doing some delicate needlework. This weeks task sees them having to master the art of semaphore. So, the housemates are making their own signalling flags. Well, at least it wasn't a physical task this time. BB has also paired the housemates off for the task. Surprise, surprise, Caroline has to work with Craig and Tom with Mel. I'm not too sure of the other pairings.
Caroline suddenly recalls her cookery lessons from her school days. She said, 'When I was at school, my Mum wrote a letter to my cookery teacher and said that Caroline's cooking is so inedible, and we can't afford to waste money on the ingredients'. The tutor said to Caroline, 'If your cooking is so bad, you obviously need the lessons'.
Caroline talking to Anna said, 'I had a strange dream last night. I dreamt that when we are asleep, they do strange experiments on us'.
Caroline to Anna: 'Do you ever get excited for no reason?'
Anna: 'Yes'.
Caroline: 'Do you ever get it in here?'
Anna: 'No'.
Tom and Mel are sat chatting in the garden. Mel said, 'If someone dumps you. I know that won't happen....'. Tom cut her to the quick and said, 'You're asking leading questions again that I won't answer'. Tom had obviously had enough the previous night. The audio feed went to another conversation but, you could just about hear him answering the questions in the background.
Darren said to Nick, 'The flag keeps coming off'. Nick said, 'Who's is it?' Darren said, 'It's Caroline's'. Nick said, 'We better put it back on, she'll go berserk'. Darren shouts to Caroline, 'Yer flag keeps coming off'. Caroline said, 'Ah! Bugger it'.
Darren's time with Nichola and Caroline really seems to have brought him out of his shell. He's giving Nick some stick regarding the semophore. In a quite cheeky voice, he said to Nick, 'Can I have the letter 'L' for lima? In your own time. That's wrong'. Darren is working Nick really hard.
Nichola said, 'It's been very odd today, a lot quieter'.
Caroline's got her saxophone out. She seems to be in a downbeat mood this evening.
BB suddenly announces to the housemates, 'Please refrain from playing with your microphones at all times'. Darren said, 'Big Brother is watching you at all times'.
At 12:00 midnight, Anna announces that she is going to do the shopping list.
Caroline said, 'Yesterday (eviction day) I thought I was going home and I was pre-mentrual. I asked if we could have the bike back. I kicked shit out of the bed to get rid of my agression. Then I was sent to see the psychiatrist. BB told me, if I don't where my mic, I'd be evicted'.
Nichola said, 'I thought you were gonna pick the bed up and throw it through the door'.
Caroline said, 'I think it was seeing my family there for that minute triggered my reaction'.
Darren said, 'Unless I'm gonna be evicted, they must keep my kids away. I don't want to see my kids or have my kids see me'.
Caroline said, 'Big Brother was concerned about me. They said what can we do to cheer you up'.
Anna anounces, 'The shopping list is �72 and we've got �120'. Darren said, 'We should leave the shopping list as it is for now, and go through it with the rest of the group tomorrow. Then we can add and take off whatever we want in the morning'.
Anna, Nichola and Caroline have decided to pool their personal allowances, to get booze, tobacco and chocolate.
Caroline said of Darren, who was complaining about a pain in his neck, 'I love Darren to bits, but he is such a hypochondriac'.
She went on to talk about her chat to BB following her earlier emotional out burst in the bedroom. She said,'Where did they get these men from?' The reply was, 'Don't worry, you and the rest of the female population are asking that as well'. Anna said, 'They were worried about the infrastructure'.
Caroline, Nichola and Anna commented on Darren's guitar session of three repitive cords earlier in the day, saying that it had driven them mad. Caroline said, 'I have to learn to cope with eviction day blues'.
Caroline said to Anna, 'Do you realise that our (meaning Nichola as well) insanity will probably infect you at some point'.
Caroline said, 'I'm taking my microphone off now Big Brother but I am in bed'.
Surprise, surprise, Mel's with the girls and in bed earlier for once. Maybe, it's something to do with the fact that she said during a late night chat, that she may be able to sway the girls and Darren's vote. So, she will probably have a chat with Darren soon.
Someone said, 'I wonder what Andy's doing now?' Anna replied, 'Probably deciding what to do with the rest of his life'.
Caroline said to Mel, 'Is that right? He hasn't got anywhere to stay right now?' Mel hesitated in replying, then said, 'He's got a room to go to but not quite yet'.
Nichola declares that she needs a chiropractor, she's suffering pain in her ribs.
Anna said, 'I reckon we can get the shopping list down to �60. That leaves everyone �8 as a personal allowance'.
Craig, Darren, Nick and Tom are up playing cards. I'm surprised at Craig. I thought he was a guy that required loads of sleep.
Darren toddles off to bed.
Craig, Nick and Tom are still chatting. They have something to eat then go into the garden to continue their chat. They stay up until 3:45am. It's odd, as I am writing this up, Craig has just told Caroline he stayed up for a chat with the lads but only for 4 - 5 minutes. It's a shame, this is the very first night that Craig has stayed up late and what happens, the audio feed goes down for the second night in a row. The video ran fine. You could see they were talking, but couldn't hear a thing. It would have been interesting to hear what Craig had to say.
I've e-mailed the editor at Bazal. The company who produce BB asking why the audio keeps going. I'm awaiting a reply. It seems odd, we have audio all day and into the evening but, as soon as the wee small hours arrive, we have nowt. What is going on?
I'm hoping that things will be sorted out tonight.
