At 11:00pm, Anna went to bed.
Mel returns from seeing BB. She said, 'I gave them the 3 ideas. A poem, a debate and a treasure hunt. We could spend the whole day doing a treasure hunt. It would use up a lot of our time and we could be creative'. Darren said, 'We made the Snakes and Ladders game'. Mel then said, 'But what have we done to use our minds?' Craig said, 'It would be ideal if they would allow us a pen, so that we can keep a diary of our thoughts of everything we've experienced in here'. Someone said, 'That's what the Diary Room is for'. Mel said, 'Tom and Nick always used the Diary Room'. Darren said, 'Tom did for the first 2 weeks'. Mel said, 'Tom and Nick were always in the Diary Room after evictions and tasks'.
At 11:10pm, Darren is putting the chickens to bed. Marjorie is playing up. He said, 'Do you want to be eaten by Mr. Fox?'
Mel said, 'I'm always mumbling to myself in here. I just think that the persons listening to me'.
Mel is moaning that she is feeling cold.
Craig said, 'Maybe after we get out of here. Give it a few days, we may want to talk to Brett about various things that have gone on in here'.
Craig then starts talking about a woman he met in Lanzarote.
Darren said to Mel, 'Would you like to be a fire lady?' Mel said, 'Yeah. I think it's a courageous job. You are putting your life on the line'. Craig said, 'When I started my business up 10 years ago, I went on some courses but gave up. The wages are really bad. People in the fire service can be sitting around for days waiting for a call. It put me off'. Mel and Craig tell a couple of stories about people who got injured in the fire service.
At 11:25, Mel goes to bed.
Darren said to Craig, 'Did you think you would be here at the end?' Craig said, 'No. My main aim when filling in the forms was just to get in here. Now I'm here, I just want to complete the show. Claire said that people will have made their mind up already'. Craig then went on to talk about yesterdays eviction. He said, 'I thought people would go for the new kid on the block or for me bacause I've been in here longer and, they feel I deserve to see it out'. Darren said, 'They know you'. Craig said, 'Know what Big Brother has show'. They are then talking about being nominated 3 times'. Darren said, 'Caroline should have asked why when more people were in here. If it had happened to me, I'd have thought people don't like me and, I would have to ask'. Craig said, 'I just wanna know if I'm doing something wrong. Am I farting too loud etc?' Darren said, 'When you go out you will see it's not really personal' Craig said, 'In the first week, it was a mixture of strange people in a strange environment. You just judged a book by it's cover'. Darren said, 'If I'm not gonna see you again, why be personal. If I had something to personally tell you I would tell you'.
Craig and Darren are discussing how many telephone votes that they got during the 4 way vote. Darren said, 'Nick said you know who is going to win as soon as you come in'. Craig said, 'Maybe after 2 - 3 weeks'. Darren said, 'That's crap. Nick talked crap'. Craig said, 'It couldn't have been nice to be nominated and go the first week'.
They are talking about surviving to the end and what the end show will turn out like.
Craig then said to Darren, 'It'll be hard to unicycle on the grass'. Darren said, 'Yeah. It will be impossible to do that bike on grass'.
Craig farted.
Craig said, 'It's not sank in that I've been picked. It was so long ago it doesn't seem real. This week we have nothing to lose. They may as well let us hear what is going on on Friday night'. Darren said, 'We need surprises'. Craig said, 'Yeah. Videos and few bottles of wine'. Darren said, 'I feel good that they chose me'. Craig said, 'Yeah. Out of 45,000 people'.
They go on to talk about the Dutch and American BB shows.
Darren then said, 'When the re-run the show on Channel 4 next year, I wonder what will happen?' Craig said, 'You'll get your job in TV. How's your reading, spelling etc?' Darren said, 'Ok. I just read stuff at work and do my own thing'.
Craig is talking about the pictures everyone painted that are on the wall. Craig said, 'Caroline painted me'. Darren said, 'Craig and his pink face'. Darren said, 'You know you said you are dyslexic. How do you manage?' Craig said, 'I jump ahead and miss words out. You see it from the end before the start. I struggled at school with reading and writing. I avoided it. I was sent to special classes, then skipped the classes which just made it harder. I had a laugh in school. I just didn't like reading and writing'.
Darren and Craig talk about missing the news and, what's going on in the outside world.
Craig is talking about the amount of footage, 30 hours that BB will have shown on TV. Plus what they may not have shown on TV.
Craig said to Darren, 'Will you go out with the boys when you get out in a week or 2?' Darren said, 'Yeah. I'm looking forward to going out with my brothers, friends and family as well'.
Darren said, 'What about the time I nearly burnt the house down? That was 3 weeks Friday. I thought when I saw those fellas, there are people around us'. Craig said, 'I'm surprised there haven't been any accidents and no one has had to go to hospital'. Darren said, 'I thought I might have to go with my back'. They discuss how many weeks ago it happened. It was 6 weeks ago. Darren said, 'We did that bike ride all through the night'. Craig said, 'Yeah. 15-16 hours in lieu. I think they will set the last 3 a task like they did in Holland - a huge jigsaw puzzle'.
Craig then said, 'Mark and Lard were talking on their show about the people who had been picked. They said that Big Brother had gone to a certain amount of trouble to keep everyone a secret. They then said, we know you are listening, why don't you call in'. Darren said, 'I was advised to get a book before I came in here. I was told I would get bored. I had no books or magazines packed. I went shopping with my kids and got some magazines. On the morning, I was told I was going to be picked up in 5 minutes. I jumped in the car, and went to W H Smiths to get some books. I got home and there wasn't a car waiting. I went in a taxi but wasn't allowed to talk. You came down by train didn't you?' Craig said, 'Yeah. I got in the taxi but wasn't allowed to talk either'. Darren said, 'Was the taxi waiting for you?' Craig said, 'No. A woman called Jane had a taxi that had brought her to the station. I then went to the hotel. It was terrible, I had to cancel my cheques and credit cards, and my business card. I had hundreds of cheques and loads of wages to pay. I said, there is no way you can stop this. I felt like I was on a military operation. I diverted my mail to one of my assistants'.
I went to watch the show at 12:35am. I got back at 1:40am.
The boys are in bed and the girls are talking family matters. Mel said about her father, 'I was angry because he wasn't there for me and, I've had to see my Mum struggle. I was angry. I couldn't understand how he could have a child and not be prepared to see his child. I just feel very angry. Why he hasn't contacted us for 10 years. I can't begin to see how he can justify it. I find it awful'. Anna said, 'Just confront him'. Mel said, 'Other people have said that but, how do I do it?' Anna said, 'What would you like to happen?' Mel said, 'I don't know. A part of me just wants him to disappear, go away and leave me alone. I honestly have no idea. If I was truthful, I haven't thought about it. Ummmm......I don't know I haven't really thought about it. Just don't know. Yeah. Just don't know. My cousin has just got married and had a baby. I've re-discovered some of my family in the past year and it's really nice'.
Mel went on to say, 'I've been thinking about Caroline. I know so little about her. How she developed her sense of humour. She must have had quite and interesting life. Done interesting things. Anna said, 'I wonder if she got that deal?' Mel said, 'I hope so'.
The girls both say night to each other and put the lights out to go to sleep.
It's 2:20am when they settle down.
