| 29/09/00 From todays sun Big Bruv your time is up ENOUGH is enough. Since Big Brother ended two weeks ago I have been tripping over contestants on a daily basis. This lot will go to the opening of a fridge and it has got to stop. You cannot attend an event in London without hearing Caroline's cackle, Sada's sloaney moan or seeing Andy's hands wandering. The housemates are certainly getting ideas above their station, demanding huge fees for public appearances and photographs. Last week, Sada asked for money to pose for a snap for The Sun. Hang on a minute, this micro-celeb was in the Big Brother house for just TWO WEEKS. She certainly puts the sad into Sada. And yesterday, Zippy lookalike Nichola launched her appalling new single in London. Yawn. I even launched my Lig Brother league to draw attention to the wannabes' shameless freeloading. But I am now bringing that to an end because, judging by their behaviour, it seems they're all as desperate to win that as they were to win the show. (Money grabbing and champagne quaffing Sada took the title - and there was me thinking she was a hippy!) Big Brother was one of the most innovative TV shows for years. For 64 days we became captivated by the 11 souls locked in an East London house. The Sun was instrumental in the success of Big Brother and signed up Nick as our columnist - I'm even on his new video - and Craig has done an admirable job in raising 250,000 for his pal's operation But as a hardened Big Brother fan, I feel it my duty to urge the 11 has-beens to disappear from our lives. You are not celebrities, you just happened to be part of a TV freak show, which is now over. You are spoiling the memory of Big Brother. You have well and truly milked your 15 minutes of fame. Go home and go back to your jobs. We don't care about you any more. |

| 05/11/00 (from Annanova) Marjorie the chicken cashes in on Big Brother fame The unsung hero of Big Brother is planning her own quest for fame this week with the launch of the Marjorie the Chicken computer game. Not to be outdone by Nasty Nick's book deal and Nichola's record release, Marjorie is hoping for her own 15 minutes of fame with the release of Revenge of Marjorie the Chicken. Players must hunt Majorie across land, water and air, pitting their wits and reactions against the chicken, which pecks back. Successful completion of each mission enables players to transform themselves into Marjorie and take revenge on mankind. The game was produced and released in record time following the enthusiasm for a demo version on the official Marjorie the Chicken website (www.majoriethechicken.co.uk). The game has been receiving 3.8 million hits weekly since it first appeared on the website a month ago. Published on PC CD-ROM by Scarlet Software in the UK, and exclusively distributed by Koch Distribution, the game will sell for 9.99 and will be released nationwide on October 27. |
