The Ancient Egyptians worshipped a variety of Gods and Goddess.  Here are some of those Deities and their myth.

Amun - Supreme God of the ancient Egyptians he was associated in a triad with Mut and Khonsu.

Anubis - The God of mummification, protector of tombs and is represented with the head of a dog.  He was said to weight the souls of the dead against a feather.

Atum - Known as "the complete one" he was creator-God thought to be the oldest worshipped at Heliopolis.  He is usually shown as a man wearing a double crown.

Bes - Protector of women during pregnacy and childbirth. Said to be fond of parties and sensual music.

Geb - God of the earth, earthquakes and fertility.

Horus - Child of Light and God of Battle with the symbol of a hawk.  He was protector of the monarchy.

Khephra - God of the dawn sun.  His symbol is the scarab beetle.  He is said to have been self created.

Khonsu - Moon God worshipped at Thebes.  He was the Divine son of Amun and Mut.

Orsiris - Husband to Isis and father to Horus. He was said to have been killed by his brother Seth yet restored by Isis and became the ruler of the afterlife.

Ptah - God of artisans and husband of Sekhmet was an ancient deity of Memphis.

Ra - Sun God worshipped as the creator of all life and often depicted with a falcon's head bearing the solar disc.

Seth - God of chaos and evil as well as being the personification of desert drought.

Thoth - God of knowledge, law, wisdom and writing.  He was the measurer of time and depicted as an ibis or a man with the head of an ibis.

Bastet - Goddess of pleasure, dancing, music and joy.  Shown as a woman with the head of a cat which were sacred animals and protected from harm.

Hathor - Sky Goddess represented with a cow's head or ears or a solar disc between the cow's horns.

Isis - Nature Goddess, wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.

Maat - Goddess of truth, justice and cosmic order and was daughter of Ra.  She is depicted as a young beautiful woman with a feather on her head.
After death she weighs souls in her scales and decides if they go to heaven or hell.

Mut - Queen of all Gods and regarded as the wife of all living things.  She was also wife of Amon and mother to Khonsu.  She is usually depicted as a woman with the head of a vulture.

Nut - Sun Goddess said to swallow the sun at night and give birth to it in the morning.  SHe is depicted as a naked woman with her body arched above the earth, which she touches with her hands and feet.

Sekhmet - Lion Goddess counterpart of cat Goddess Bastet and wife of Ptah at Memphis.  Her messengers were horrible creatures which could bring diseases and curses on mankind.
