Colour
Home
Colour is always around us, surrounding us with each unique vibration theaputic, psychological or magickal effect.  Colour used in magickal work can empower the spells so choosing the right colour is very important.  Put thought into what colour paper, candles, clothing, flowers or other objects you may want to use in the ritual or place on your altar.  Here is a list of colours and their magickal properties.
White - While not considered a colour (it contains all seven colours of the spectrum) white is used for purification and protection and spirituality.  It can also take the place of any other colour.

Purple - Power, success and commitment, and psychic energies.

Red - Lust, passion, courage, willpower, endurance, vigour and ambition.

Blue - Healing, guidance and truth, happiness.

Pink - love and friendship, leisure, gentleness and reconciliation.

Green - Prosperity, fertility, employment and good luck and beauty.

Yellow - Concentration, action, wisdom, intellect and learning.

Orange - Legal matters, confidence, pride and empathy.

Silver - Represents the Goddess and the moon, stimulates visions and intuition.

Gold - Represents the God and the sun, stimulates life force and longevitiy.

Brown - Used for things of a practical nature and to eliminate indecisiveness.

Grey - Legal matters or other formal issues.

Black - Also not considered a colour (it is the absence of colour) used for accessing the subconscious, banishing and binding and for invoking rest.

Candle Magick

Candle magick is easy and effective.  Choose a candle in a colour that corresponds to your wish.  With a sharp knife carve your full name and wish into the candle.  At the same time each night light the candle and for ten minutes gaze into the flame meditating on your wish.  Do this for seven days.  After ten minutes say "As I will it, so shall it be" then snuff the flame with your fingertips.  Wrap the candle in white cloth and put it away somewhere safe.  On the seventh night wrap the candle and put it away until your wish comes true, then bury it in the garden or in the earth where it won't be distrubed.
