Note that the pentacle is not the same as the pentagram. The pentagram is the representaion of the five elements namely Spirit, Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. The Pentacle on the other hand, represents just not hte five but also, the Divinity or the Goddess (in most wiccan texts). The pentacle also represents the oneness of the conjurer (witch or magician) with the Universe. The pentacle is a representation of great, divine power.
However, an inverted one, be it a pentacle or pentagram, is a representation of Dark Magick. |
