i cant find the truth, february 18 '04

You tell me all these lies to try and get me to see another truth, but you know just as well as I do that both of us are in different realities.
Maybe you never realized it, but I think I left any sanity far behind, or maybe you are the one who has fallen through the quick sand.
But whatever the truth is, really is irrelevent because once you fall, you can't get up. Why waste our time thinking of who is lost, when that will never help us gain anything? We try to pretend to each other, joke and lie, mocking one another with what we want to believe. But if I open my eyes, and if I pull away the veil to see the reality that I've forgotten, the truth will be written in stone-- unable to be altered. For so long in that cage of "truth" I was trapped, and longed to be set free. But what I never knew, was 'twould be insanity.

explanation of the title, directly from allpoetry-- "the piece, when i reread it, reminded me of my favorite song, Lies and Truth by L'Arc~En~Ciel. One of the lines is "shinjitsu no sagasenai" which is what the untranslated version of the title in this piece. I, which i bet you notice if you've read any of my other pieces (hehe), have an unhealthy obsession with the mixing of reality and fiction. (probably why my fav. movie is Millenium Actress, XP), and that was something of where this ramble came from." so, even though the title sounds angsty and annoying, it's really more of... an inside joke with myself. lol, :P
