grave thieves april 20, '04
Ancient graves have silver wings
Glinting in the office lights
That slip between the closing curtains
To upon the rocks alight
A smile graces the silent room
With caustic and lost glares reminisce
The two make sure to look away
While eerie gloom takes o'er silence
In the cold and bitter world
Night refreshes broken souls
In the nightlife of the wild
Never a happy spirit grows old
And while the dreary thoughts of death
Smoothly strike their simple heart-chords
The sound of bells from clock do ring
As if it were a sign from Lord
The void of noise echoes so vivid
In their cruel minds and vile hearts
While deceased treasures left behind
They sift through graves and tear apart
A cold grin snaps through the two
For the wings become alive in light
And so the deadly spirit smiles
Promising to go for flight
The scroungers have no idea now
Of when they'll die,
And exactly how
But someday soon I'm telling you
Their blood will linger in floor so blue
Their crimson eyes will shatter softly
And silence will return to their kin
But never will the afterimage leave
The afterimage of their sins
