Mark's 41 Willys
Rev Heads Land
  (Mates cars)
Hi  my name is Mark Allen and my mate Corey has given me the opportunity of featuring my car on his website.

Well the car is a "1941 Willys Coupe" The car was originally owned by a gentleman called Chris Noble in Bunburry WA. Who had spent 4 years to the stage when I bought it. I purchased the car back in 1999 in an 80% finished state, although alot of the original work has been changed.

The Overdraft
The body is a fiberglass body made in New Zealand by fairveiw fiberglass. The bonnet and several other modifications were built or carried out by my father and myself. Some of the body mods are mazda mx-5 external handles (reversed), VN commodore fuel filler, boot handle removed ect. The paint is Hyundai scarlet red  applied by a good mate Mark Williamson of Avon Valley spray painters who did a fabulous job.

The underside is as clean as the top which is made up of a Torana LH front end  cut down to mate with a full costom chassis built by Chris Noble.
The Comfort side of the car includes airconditioning, Tilt steering, CD player, adjustable seets and electric windows. All of the trim is costom fabricated.
Ahhh... the motorvation side of things.  What a ride with a 350 small block chev motor stroked to a 383! The engine was assembled a great friend Mick Ferniough  of Ferniough Automotives. The basics started with a 4 bolt standard bore block. Iron lightened prepared by Micheal Marriott of Flow Tested Cylinder Heads. A sheet metal manifold was fabricated by Bob Payne of Clackline Engineering, and finally sitting ont top are 2x 660 center quarter holley carbs.
The gearbox is a tricked up turbo 350 with a full manual vavle body. Driven by a 3700rpm converter. Once again built by another mate who is better known as "Cliff"
The diff is a shortened 9" LSD Center, The exhaust a costom set of headers, HCD coated and wrapped feeding into twin 2 and a half mandral bent system.
At the time of this car going on the line, it has only had one outing at the moterplex, where it ran a time of 11.89 sec (with treaded tyres and full exhaust system).
Other accolades include a top 10 plate at summernats 15 (A dream come true and it just goes to show what a bunch of mates with dedication can do)
And I like to thank them all.
Last but not least out of the 6 more car shows the vehicle has entered it has managed to pull off another 34 more trophies!!!!

Well that is for me back to the shed : )
