Chapter 7

"Come on Onnas!" Wufei yelled up the stairs.

"We’re coming, hold on!" Sally yelled back.

"Ok are we ready?" When everyone nodded, Relena continued, "Oh this will be priceless." She went out the door with the other four girls trailing behind her giggling.

When the boys heard footsteps they turned. Each one looked at his date in amazement. Before they knew it, each shocked face was captured in the cameras the girls held.

Heero was the first to realize what had just taken place, "Why did you do that for?"

"Because, Heero dear, we knew your looks would be grand and now we can keep them," Relena said.

"Maybe we should start to go now, or we’ll be late," Duo said.

"I guess he’s right," Hilde said working her way over to Duo.

When they all got to the ball, Catherine was shocked at what she saw. She was new to going to balls, so she was unsure how to act in such a situation. Quatre saw her uneasiness. He lend over and whispered in her ear, "Just relax, you’ll do fine. Besides your too beautiful for any one to notice a mishap."

"Thanks Quatre." Quatre responded by dragging her onto the dance floor.

"Don’t they make a cute couple," Hilde said to Duo.

"Yeah they do. I can’t wait until tonight." Duo’s eyes flashed with mischief.

"Why, what’s going to happen?" Duo whispered in her ear the plans for tonight.

Hilde sighed and said, "That’s so romantic. I remember the first time you asked me."

"Yeah and you thought I was joking so you punched me."

"Well, you do joke around a lot. I thought you were teasing me," Hilde said pouting.

"You having a good time?" Quatre asked his date. He pulled a chair out for Catherine to sit in at the dinner table.

"Oh, it is wonderful. Your friends are so fun to be around."

Quatre looked into her blue-gray eyed, seeing that she was truly happy. ‘Ok she is definitely the one for me,’ he thought. His stomach did flip-flops as he said, "Cathy I have to ask you something."

"Sure Quatre ask away." Catherine was completely oblivious to what he was about to say.

Quatre got out of his chair and got down on one knee. "Catherine, I love you and I want to be with you. Will you do me he honor of marring me?"

Catherine, forgetting where she was, got down on her knees by Quatre and proceeded to kiss him. When they broke apart Quatre asked, "Should I take that as a yes?"

"Oh Quatre. Of course I’ll marry you. I love you."

Quatre lend in to kiss her again when he heard someone clear their throat. They both looked up to see who interrupted them. When they looked up they saw their friends and several others looking at them.

"And I thought Maxwell was bad," Wufei said. Her shook his head, jokingly. At this both Quatre and Catherine blushed.

"Well, congratulations," Hilde said.

Everyone began to give his or her congratulations to the newly engaged couple.

Epilogue

"Do you Catherine Bloom take Quatre Winner to have and to hold until death do you part?"

Catherine looked with love at Quatre and said, "I do."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride," the Priest said to the newly weds. Quatre lend into Catherine and brushed his lips with hers as an applause broke out from the spectators.

Everyone went to the reception. Dorothy, who was the maid of honor, caught the bouquet. The best man, who was Trowa, caught the garter. Naturally Dorothy and Trowa were teased that rest of the night, especially from Catherine and Quatre.

Quatre took Catherine’s hand and dragged her from the crowd to a secluded place around the corner.

"I just wanted to tell you how happy you made me today." Quatre said to Catherine. "You look beautiful today."

"Thank you Quatre. I love you so much." With that they kissed with more passion than ever.

"Yo, save it for tonight. They need you two out there," Duo said with a grin.

Quatre regretfully pulled away from his love, took her hand, and led her back to the room. He smiled when he noticed she was unsteady from their kiss. ‘Well, this could be interesting tonight,’ he thought.
