Take back the night
by: Rosalie Truong
in this night and in this hour
you and I were partying on the dance floor
out of breath and full of energy
we were dancing mor eand more
you said that you were going to kiss me
I thought you were talking bluff
when you did it in front of everyone
you had humiliated me
I stormed out on you
what else could I do
you were inside, confused, thinking about what you did
you went after me to say that you were sorry
I went drving to clear my head
I never known of what to say
the curve was tough but I made it through
you were troubling inside and didn't see the curve light
you went front first into the lake dock
I knew that it was my fault
I cry and wish to take back the night
didn't mean to trouble you to end up in this sight
now whho can I truly trust
I'm depressed, sad and hurt
replaying the scene from that every night
take it all back and make it right
I never got to apologize
I cry to the night to swallow me up so I can hide
please I cry to heaven hoping that they would take back the night
