Papaya's Blog
June 7th 2007: Papaya's leg is healing well. According to Dr. Goode, her weight is starting to stabilize (no more lost grams yay!) The vet feels that Papaya (Paya for short) only has  a few more bandage changes left before she is allowed to hop on her foot.

June 11th, 2007: Paya's weight is 330 grams without the bandage. The open wound that Dr. Goode has been working on healing is almost completely covered. Again, the vet is very happy with her progress.

June 14th, 2007: Paya's weight is 331 grams, poops look good and she eating very well. On a very good note, if the healing continues as well as it has been, Monday the bandage will be removed and we will see how she does with out it! Keep your fingers crosses, hopefully the ordeal is almost over!

June 18th, 2007: Papaya was up a whopping 12 grams today, with a weight of  343. Her leg is officially out of the bandage. I just have to monitor her in case she starts chewing on the leg. Happy to be out of her bandage, she immediately took to climbinb her cage, using her pet leg.

July 30th, 2007: I apologize for the lack of updates, but there really is no new news. Papaya's leg is healing perfectly! She does not chew it, there are no signs of hyper sensitivity. Although exciting piece of news...Papaya has reached 400 grams and is a chubby chin! Healthy and happy, I could not ask for a better pet.
