Gasp
! You’re actually here?I’m
touched. I really am.So
here’s the 411.
Welcome to the badly-formatted page about me, your wonderful hostess. I’ll give you a brief crash course in my life.
I was born Frances Marie on October 23, eight days before Halloween, in Brooklyn, New York. I’m a Filipino with a dash of Chinese thrown in from my mother’s side.
I have sister, my senior by seven years, named Angelina. I have a nephew names Brandon, and I am also his godmother. I have a very large extended family that spans the western and eastern hemispheres, in the Philippines and scattered over the U.S. and Canada. I currently live in Staten Island, New York, which is a borough of New York City.
I like writing, obviously, and I go to a technical high school that specializes in computer science and engineering, but I’m horrible at it. I’m better at the humanities, and I take Russian as a foreign language. I’d like to be a writer when I leave school, but am also considering foreign relations.
My hobbies are playing piano, reading, writing, eating, and watching movies and anime. My current anime obsession is Detective (or Meitantei) Conan, but I’m really trying to focus my attention on writing.
If you’re still reading this by now, not only am I baffled at your interest in my ordinary life and, secretly, quite flattered, I’m convinced you have an ulterior motive other than politely reading. Maybe you want to steal my identity.
If you want more random information about me, I filled out a survey (thank you to Rita [at http://angelfire.com/realm/ritarockz/ if you‘re interested] and her numerous surveys) that you could check out below. Don’t bother if you want anything scandalous or something ridiculous like that -- I’m boring, and anyway I took out the parts I thought shouldn’t be released to the public. :) To warn you, there are inside jokes that if you understand you can laugh at, if you don’t just ignore them. If you disagree with me on any of the opinion sections, tough. Don’t flame me because I’ll just laugh at you.
Name: Frances Marie
Nicknames: Fran, Franny, shorty (-___-), star, hey you
Born in: Brooklyn, New York
Current Location: Staten Island, New York
DOB: October 23
Astrological sign: Technically, I’m one of those border days between Libra and Scorpio, but I’m mostly a Scorpio.
Hobbies: ficcing, reading, playing piano, karaoke (duh!), working on Incandescence.
Sports that you play/enjoy: I’m fairly average to bad at sports, but I’ve steadily attempted basketball, bowling, volleyball, swimming, and basically anything else that looks interesting.
Right or lefty: I’m ambidextrous (Yes, I am THAT COOL), but I prefer doing sports or other precision things with my left and writing with my right.
*What....*
What do you think of the way you look?: I’m fine with it. Why, aren’t you?
What do you think about your attitude?: I’m average -- I’m sarcastic, critical, and prideful -- but I’m mostly optimistic. Don’t know how that’s possible, but somehow I did it.
What do you think about life after death?: I’m skeptical but hopeful. I mean, honestly, who doesn’t want to live after death?
What do you think about karma?: Rita, karma is not the same as an aura. Karma I definitely think is true.
What do you think about love?: Platonic love is everywhere and everyone should accept it. But the other kind of love is much rarer and doesn’t come around with every boyfriend/girlfriend, so stop talking about how you’re in love with someone you met two days ago.
What do you think about fate?: I think it sucks not to be in control of everything, but there are definitely some things no one can control and which I would attribute to fate.
What do you think about your self?: I don’t know. I’ve accepted myself, and that’s all I can do.
What do you tell yourself if times get hard?: “Shut up and keep going.”
What would you give your life for?: Theoretically, the person I loved or a cause I believed in, but who knows how you’ll handle a situation until you’re in it?

*Creative Q's*
If you had the choice to spin around the sun, or walk on the moon, which would you choose and why?: I’d spin around the sun because I’ve never heard anyone do it before and it’d be nice to do something first, but walking on the moon might be better for my health.
If you could be doing anything right now, what would you be doing: Sleeping deeply without dreams -- they make me wake up tired and thinking I haven’t slept at all.
Which sense could you not live without, and why?: Hearing; I love music and wouldn’t be able to play it or listen to it without hearing, and I wouldn’t be able to hear people’s voices. I’ve had time to consider this, trust me.
Have you ever written on a mirror? If so what did you write?: I wrote on some mirror (I forget where) the lyrics to Edward McCain’s song “I’ll Be” with a bar of soap. Don’t know why, I just really like that song.
Still here? Wow, I’m very impressed. You might want to hit the Back button on your browser to get back to the index, and if you’ve seen something here that’s a mutual interest you can drop a line to me in the guestbook.
See ya, and thanks for visiting this site.
