Now Known as halloween, Samhain celebrants acknowledge this as the first day of the year, a time to prepare the ground so that it will be at its optimum fertilty in the spring.
  Samhain also, therefore marks the dying of the old year, and is  time to remember loved ones who are no longer with us!


Ambience
Seasonal flowers such as, Chrysanthemums, orange and red if possible,
Orange candles
Carved Pumpkins
burn rosemary branches on your fire.

Catering
Bowls of fruits and nuts
Pumpkin soup garnish with rosemary
Homemade bread
cheeses
Bake Biscuits and decorate with spirals or pentacles for children who come trick or treating


Suggested rituals
In a window light seven candles in memory of family and friends who have passed on.
Take a few moments to remember them and respect them, giving thanks for their lives.
Invite a psychic to youe home to give readings to you and your mates.
Give each friend a bay leaf, let them dwell on something they'd like to put behind them before throwing it away- along wth their problem( so long as itz not another person!) on to the fire!
