Sweep circle area, lay out circle items and set up alter. Light Sage Smudge and welcome all to the circle. One everyone is welcomed in and smudged, ring bell 3 times and say
HPS: The circle is about to be cast. We freely stand within to greet the Lady and the Lord.
Take the center candle and light each candle of the circle moving North, East, South and West and say:
(N) I call upon light and earth at the North to illuminate and strengthen the circle.
(E) I call upon light and air at the East to illuminate and enliven the circle.
(S) I call upon light and fire at the south to illuminate and warm the circle.
(W) I call upon light and water at the west to illuminate and cleanse the circle.
HP: Take athame in up raised hand, and say:
I draw this circle in the presence of the Goddess and the God where they may come and bless their children.
Lower the athame at the North. As you walk around circle, envision a blue light from the point forming the circle boundary and say:
This is the boundary of the circle. Only love shall enter only love shall leave.
Return to alter and ring bell 3 times. Place point of athame in salt and say:
Salt is life and purifying. I bless this salt to be used in this sacred circle in the names of the Goddess and the God.
Pick up salt bowl and use tip of athame to drop 3 portions of salt into water bowl. Stir 3 times and say:
Let the blessed salt purify this water that it maybe blessed to use in this sacred circle. In the names of the Goddess and the God, I consecrate and cleanse this water.
Pass water bowl around to circle have them sprinkle water around circle as HP says:
We consecrate this circle in the names of the Goddess and the God. The circle is conjured a circle of power that is purified and sealed. So Mote it be!!
Return water bowl to alter. Pick up censer, pass around circle and say:
We are consecrated in the names of the goddess and the God in this their circle.
Take wand and hold it aloft. At the North say:
(N) I call upon you, Elemental Earth, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I have body and strength, we are kith and kin.
(E) I call upon you, Elemental Air, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I breathe and think, we are kith and kin.
(S) I call upon you, Elemental Fire, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I consume life to live, we are kith and kin.
(W) I call upon you, Elemental Water, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I feel and my heart beats, we are kith and kin.
Raise Athame and say:
HPS: Hail to the Elemental at the 4 quarters! Welcome Lady and Lord to this rite! We stand between the worlds with love and power all around!
Set down athame and pick up goblet. Pour into libation dish. Ring bell 3 times and say:
HPS: The Goddess of summer walks thru the land with the God of the forest, and the dark time of Winter is behind us.
Ring bell 7 times and say:
HPS: The animals breed, and the plants pollinate, as the May Queen and the Green Man bestow their blessings upon the earth and earth�s creatures, we who are their children rejoice with them and ask that their happy union become an example for all humanity to live and love in harmony.
Light the candle in the cauldron and say:
HP: The dark days are cleared away that the May Day can now begin!
Drop some woodruff on the flame and say:
HPS: May the light of the May fire bring happiness and peace, and may the victory of the King of the Wood come into our lives that we may dwell on the joy of the Lady and the Lord, So Mote it Be!
Take goblet in both hands and say:
HP: We greet the time of unions and give honor to the Lady and the Lord for their fruitfulness!
Take a sip from the goblet and set back on alter.
Ring bell 3 times stand with arms up raised and say:
HP: We acknowledge our needs and offer our appreciation to that which sustains us! May we ever remember the blessings of the Lady and the Lord.
HPS takes goblet, HP takes athame, lower point of athame in to goblet and say:
HP: As male joins female for the benefit of both, let the fruits of their union promote life.
HPS: Let the Earth be fruitful and let her wealth be spread throughout all the lands
Lay down athame and drink from goblet and pass around and say:
HPS: May you never thirst!
Touch point of athame to food and say:
HP: This food is the blessing of the lady and the Lord given freely to us. As freely as we have received, may we also give food for the body, mind and spirit of those that seek us.
Pass food around and say:
HP: May you never hunger!
When done hold athame over alter and say:
HP: Lord and Lady we are blessed by your sharing this time with us, watching and guarding us and guiding us here and in all things. We came in love and we depart in love.
Raise up athame and say :
HPS: Love is the law and love is the bond. Merry did we meet, merry do we part, merry do we meet again. Merry Meet, Merry Part, Merry to we meet again! The circle is now cleared. So Mote it be!!
Kiss the blade and set on alter. Take snuffer and go to North quarter and say :
(N) Depart in peace, Elemental Earth, our blessings take with you.
(W) Depart in peace, Elemental Water, our blessings take with you.
(S) Depart in peace, Elemental Fire, our blessings take with you.
(E) Depart in peace, Elemental Air, Our blessings take with you.
Raise arms and say:
HPS: Beings and powers of the visible and invisible, depart in peace! You aid in our work, whisper in our mind, and bless us from the Otherworld, and there is harmony between us. Our blessings take with you. The circle is cleared!
Take athame to North and move Widdershins and say:
HP: The circle is open yet the circle remains as its magical power is drawn into us.
Set athame on alter and hold arms out and say:
HPS: The ceremony has ended. Blessings have been given and blessings have been received, may the peace of the Goddess and the God remain in our hearts. So Mote it be!
