| Honey Facial Toner In blender, puree 1 tablespoon honey with a peeled, cored apple. Smooth over face; leave on 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Skin toner mix 1 cup witch hazel, 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1/4 tsp. mint extract. If you want, drop in some fresh peppermint leaves. Dab on your face with a cotton ball to hydrate skin and remove excess dirt from pores Pine Toner 2 c. fresh pine needles 1 c. distilled water 1/2 c. witch hazel For pine toner, place pine needles in small saucepan with distilled water. Bring water to boil. Allow water to cool completely then remove pine needles. Pine needles can be thrown away. Add witch hazel and stir well. Pour into a clean bottle or other container. Apply to skin with a cotton ball. Store in a cool dark place. Rose Petal Rinse 1 tbsp dried rosemary or 2 tbsp fresh rosemary 2 tbsp dried chamomile flowers 4 cups water 2 tbsp dried or fresh rose petals Combine all ingredients in a small glass or enameled pan and boil uncovered over a medium heat for 10 minutes. Cool to room temperature, then strain out the herbs. Put liquid in a bottle with a lid and dab on with cotton, OR put it in a spray bottle and spritz it on your skin. Rinse off. This rinse will remove any traces of soap on your face. Refrigerate between uses. Rose Skin Toner 3 1/2 cups witch hazel 1/2 cup dried rose petals 5 sprigs of rosemary Directions: Mix ingredients together making sure it is all blended well. Strain. Splash on your face after cleaning skin. Zazil Toner 1/4 cup cucumber juice (the same pH as the skin) 1/8 cup carrot juice (rich in vitamin A) 1/2 cup spearmint infusion (considered one of the best cosmetic herbs) 1/4 cup chamomile infusion (avoid if you are sensitive to ragweed) 1/2 cup lemon juice (an alpha hydroxy acid) Make the cucumber juice and carrot juice. Make strong spearmint and chamomile teas, and let cool. Combine all the ingredients in a glass jar and shake to blend. If you freeze the mixture in ice cube trays, just pop out a cube and rub it over your face, then put the cube in the refrigerator and use the toner over the next few days Trusty Hibiscus Toner 1 Cup of Hibiscus Flowers Prepared in Alcohol Base (methods above) 1 Cup Red Raspberry Leaf Infusion 1 oz. of Naturally Dried Orange Peel (not ground) 7 Drops Rose Geranium Essential Oil Put all together in a quart jelly jar, shake vigorously and keep refrigerated for a refreshing facial astringent. Lavender, Strawberry Leaf and Lemon Toner 1 Cup of Lavender Flowers Prepared in Alcohol Base (methods above) 1 Cup of Strawbwerry Leaf Infusion 1 Oz. of Dried Lemon Peel (not ground) 7 Drops of Lavander Essential Oil Put all together in a quart jelly jar, shake vigorously and keep refrigerated for a tonifying face splash. Comfrey Calendula Toner 1 Cup Calendula Prepared in Alcohol Base (methods above) 1 Cup Comfrey Root Decoction 7 Drops Rose Absolute or Essential Rose Oil Put all together in a quart jelly jar, shake vigorously and keep refrigerated.
