Ahhh . . . there's a chill in the air and the holidays are finally over. Midwinter is upon us as we celebrate the Winter Solstice. Winter Solstice is a time of rest and hibernation. It is a time to review the past so we can prepare for the future. Commonly referred to as Midwinter, this solstice is the original winter holiday season before the religious indoctrination of Christianity. This is a time we can all celebrate together without the conflict of religious viewpoints since the solstice (Midwinter) is based upon scientific observation concerning the movement of the sun and planets. Now, the days will begin to grow in length as we look forward to the warmth of spring. |
