PP Cards
Quick Guide (note: these do not apply to the foil cards or the PP special set; see below for those):
*All the cards have this logo on their back, including the PP special set. I believe, but am not certain, that this is Amada's logo, for I have also seen it on hero cards.
*All PP cards have the logo of one of the Sailor Moon series on the front, depending on what series they are featuring. For example, the S Season logo or the SuperS Season logo.
*All cards have a moon power. On the first two sets there is a large number with japanese writing above it. It isn't until the third set that "Moon Power" is written in english. It is in english for the rest of the PP sets.
*Sets 4 and on have the set number (part) on the card back in red letters. I'm not sure if the part number is on the back of all the cards in sets 1-3, but I do know that on the few cards I have from those sets, they are not always in red ink and are sometimes are to see.
Set Details:
Sets 1 and 2: All the regular cards have crescent moon borders on two opposite sides, either above and below or to either side of the picture.
Set 3: This set goes from the first series of Sailor Moon to the R series. The first half looks like the previous two sets. The second half, aside from the logo changing to R, no longer has the crescent moon border. The series (R, S, SuperS) is now written in english letters, and will be for the rest of the PP series. Below it is a sentence in japanese, usually 'Tsukini kawatte Oshiokiyo!' or 'Tsukino hikariwa AI no Message!' (I will check out my cards to see if there are others) . Below that is the moon power, the number of which is no longer as big. This trio-- the series, the japanese saying/motto, and the moon power-- will now be referred to as the title of the card, so that I can show the different set styles more easily. Set 4: From here on, they put the PP set number on the back of the card, like this {image coming soon}. The part number may be on the cards from sets 1-3; see the quick guide for more.
Sets 5-8: Title style changes. These cards have four different title styles. {Images coming soon}
Set 9: Title style changes. Only one style in this set, but in different colors, like so.
Set 11: Start of Super S cards, and there is a new title style.
Set 13: Two new styles, see here.
Set 14: Another two-part set, this time going from SuperS to Stars. Second part brings a change in title style, which can be seen here.
Foils
*Set 6 contains six gold foil cards. Their card number is on the front, at the bottom, inside an oval. Here is an example.
*Set 8 has six silver foils. They look similar to the gold foils, as you can see here.
*Set 13 has three double foils, with gold on the front and silver on the back. The cards feature Sailor Moon, Chibi Moon, and then an image with both of them. The backs look like this. Also, they say "Special Gold Card" on the front, at the top.
*Set 14 has eight colored foils, an example of which can be seen here.
PP Special Set
*These 12 cards are all prisms, and guess what? They all say "PP Card Special" on the front.
